Maybe they’re benching him because they were losing 5-1 and don’t want to risk any chance of him getting injured in case there’s a trade?
Do you really want your 11.6 player blocking shots? Also why trade him? If they draft Mckenna, who is his C going to be Rossi? Blueger? Like it or not #1 Centers dont grow on trees and Elias is the closest we have.
The guys skates like he can't find his balance most of the time, not something your would expect from an 11.6 million dollar player. He falls over so easy and just looks like an amateur against people who can actually skate. Whoever thought he was worth that price has rocks in his head. Way to much for someone to block shots.

Trade the guy he quit playing here. We have kids in BCHL that would do better than Pettey. Deagon McMillan,Christian Maro,Liam Mugnoson, Dmitrii Kubanstev,Cole Bieksa are kids with upward potential. Kids need ATO. Abby should be calling to see the kids at the end of the year. GM needs a guy to go and see these guys.
Canuck fans know that if they do trade EP40, he will of course get better than what we currently have. Canucks need to move him. EP40 needs a fresh start. Detroit has the cap space and the assets. Trade EP40 to Detroit for Nate Danielson and a draft pick with no retention. Canucks get a 21 year old 6’2 Canadian center which fits with what they are trying to do.
It's been years and years of trying to kick Petey in the ass by 'getting him a winger.' But he doesn't drive play no matter who he's with. So continuing along that strategy won't work. Which is why they shouldn't draft based on a 'swedish connection' with Stenberg. Fans are sick of that idea by now anyway. Instead, they should simply draft bpa. Which won't be Stenberg.
