All I want for Dubas is to stand pat. What better deadline acquisition could a contending team get than Sidney Crosby?
Unless something incredible comes along, I wouldn't move anything but the spare draft picks or MAYBE Skinner, mantha, or Braz…. But I'm all about this chemistry they have with Kindel so.

This was such an encouraging game to watch! To see these Pens completley dominate a cup contender would be fantastic on it's own! But if you add in the (facts) that the Knights had an entire extra day of rest and the Pens drew an early start to finish off their back 2 back (AND) that it was all done without their captain Sid who is undeniably their best player on the team and the game was nothing short of sensational!!! Lets Go Pens!! 🐧 🏒
But if we're being honest, its not that Pittsburghs players are terrible at shootouts, its that even if they were to have won less than half of their OT/SO losses they'd be the 2nd best team in the NHL. Are they the 2nd best team? Probably not, but then again here I am talking about a little bit of bad luck being the reason they arent top of the league….
I just love it whenever kindel scores and mantha and brazeau chrash into him to celebrate. The height difference is insane.

I worry about playing within the division. Do they learn how to play us? Or is it Sullivan? Seems to be if we score we win. I think it's great the team plays well with both goalies. But shootouts, shootouts, shootouts, shootouts.
Hey DK, that wasn't the best effort from Vegas, but from Pittsbirgh……that was a beauty. They were skating and hitting for sixty minutes, there was no drop off like the game against NYR. The goal tending was great and I found myself fist pumping with each goal. I have to say one thing, Chinikov has to be on the first power play, his speed and shot are game breaking. Props to Kindle…..I think the kid is starting to believe he's the next one. It was nice to see two guys finally score on the PP with Rust and especially Rakell. Last night was fun to watch, it was a complete effort, they play like that they're going to make it real uncomfortable for most teams.

I thought the PENS were being outplayed..UNTIL..MALKINS HIT…then..VEGAS played small & the PENS found new life
How about BENNY THE KID? Saw your interview with him DK, humble as he could be. That back to back was a blessing now that it's over. Very impressive win over a first place team!
If Crosby and Malkin were 5-10 years younger, I'd say this team was a cup contender.

Skinner has been getting the division games but only a few Metro games in March so I'm curious to see if it stays on the current rotation or if Silovs has earned the net. Remember when Skinner was playing lights out they kept the rotation. On a side note, I'm not buying the trade rumors unless the Pens are getting back a legit starter. Skinner is the only one with deep playoff experience and idk how willing Dubas/Muse are with entering the stretch/playoffs with an unproven pair of Silovs/Murashov (for example)

Good morning Dejan & DK Sports, Victor here…..just a thought on Silvos. Like your friend said, he's only 24. When we traded for him, I was overly excited nor upset mainly because I knew Murashov wasn't going to be ready anyways. But, as this years went on what is apparent to me is that 1, he definitely has talent, 2, his ceiling is still up there somewhere. How much?? Don't know but I believe anyone can see that, 3, what I did not like at all was when you questioned him months ago regarding his giving up rebound chances and his quick response that he believes he's fine showed me his inability to see defects in his game, and that was definitely concerning to me! To be a person, athlete, any profession, a person must be willing to take inventory of their defects, own them, be willing to correct them, and make a commitment to adjusting from them with discipline. IF Silvos has turned a corner there and is growing towards his ceiling we may have a real good goalie for years to come.
Which brings me to Skinner……do we flip him, most likely for a 2nd lol & 4th or something like that, and bring up Bloomqvist & Murashov as back ups for the remaining year to give some more experience to those guys including playoffs? More assests sitting there for us…….and those can definitely be used and needed if Kyle is going to make a splash for Robertson and/or Thomas. I believe we have the assests, the cap space, and need for both those guys!! Our team next year could be a contender and because both their ages, 26 years old, we'd have their primes for another 7-8 years, which Kyle wants. Just imagine…. Blessings, 🙏

DK – Is Geno not only the most underrated hockey player of the modern era, but also the most under-appreciated by his own organization? We've been down this road with Hextall and it looks like we might be walking down it again with Dubas. What gives?

@dkps_penguins don't forget Silovs won a Calder Cup last year. that shows me he has what it takes to raise his play in the playoffs. and Skinner has made it to Cups in a row, and while people blame him for the losses, Edmonton plays defense like it's optional. I hope we do not trade Skinner, although after trading Kulak I kind of expect it now. I know everyone is high on Murashev, but his short time up, I didn't see goalie of the future just yet, although it was a small sample and his first taste of the NHL. but I say let the 2 guys play it out this year, and next year can be Silovs/Murashev.
anyway, one last point on Silovs. from the beginning of the season until now, he has continued to improve. His rebound control is better, and he seems to be improving on swallowing pucks as well. (Maybe they are showing him Matt Murray film). One thing I can notice is he's being more aggressive / effective in trying to see long range shots through traffic. I no longer cringe when I see a shot from the blue line on him.
Needed this win honestly. Confirms what we all were hoping, the eventual post Crosby future looks bright! This team is special man, let's keep it going
Chinakhov has to be the best trade the Penguins have made since the acquisition of Phil Kessel, and the cost was much less. Im sure Columbus is wishing they had only given him the opportunity to play top minutes and show what he can really do already. Hoping Dubas can avoid arbitration and lock him up on a longer term deal for the future of the team.
