Very small sample size, but please tell me how you’d have liked the 4 goals in the NYI loss to be saved. Sure he got beaten 1 on 1 at the end (AFTER AN O-ZONE DRAW) but I consider the other 3 unsaveable. 5 on 3, snipe through many many bodies, and bouncing in off a guys chest who wasn’t boxed out.
I think Monte haters overblow his struggles a lot. He’s made plenty of incredible saves even during his lesser periods.

I’ve played and watched hockey for 30 years, and played competitively as goalie. Most goalie haters have no idea what they’re talking about and sound ridiculous to those who do. Not saying Monty is the future starter of the franchise or even the current one, but take a breath.

1.Idk what Monty did to be there , but good for him.
2.Hronek doesn’t deserve to be amongst the worst d-men in the league.
February is such a small sample, one good or bad game from one player or their teammates will look a lot better/worse than it really is.
