What we're seeing on the ice, I think, has a lot to do with what's going on or not going on in the dressing room, no leadership, and I don't think there has been in a long time.
Forget about whether we can win with these guys or not….it's reached a point I just want to watch a team I can root for. That comes out and tries, even if they lose. I do say 'trade em', the prospects and picks are better than this. Forget about winning the trades. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THIS.

Auston's tank's empty after purse shopping, afterline and his little gold medal. Willie never had any heart – and I think he's the main issue here. 13 sheets (or whatever it is) and cheats for offense. Your depth guys won't sell out when he doesn't.

Last season's goaltending worked wonders but that hasn't translated to 25-26.

Mathews or Nylander or both got to go. They are the leaders. They are the battery, the nucleus of the team. I have seen so many players come and go in 10 years on this team. How many over 100 players or more. All of them could not be that bad. This is about energy and example.. Mathews and Nylander will kill any energy young players would bring to this team. Eaton Cowan is not playing because they must not expose him to this bad character mentality of entitled millionaires. Face the reality folks 100 million dollar players being outplayed by 10 million dollars players and lower paid players, each and every night.

I think Leaf players got the golf bug while in Florida. Middle of the pack or less…I think they know Berube is gone, maybe Trelliving and they want to see what happens next October.

I would trade Willie for sure if he will waive.. As well as many others. would either sign Laughton or trade him and sign him as an FA. He's great piece for a team in rebuild and loves it here.
Honestly after their last loss even Berube looked and sounded in post game interview like he's given up.
That Florida game. And the Colorado game. Those wete the best two games that I've seen this team play in the last 10 years. So they do have it in them. They should have fire Berube the moment we started the year like that.
I never would have sent Hildeby down I would have moved Stolarz. Now Stolarz value has tanked since he's shown himself to be a problem, with demanding to come back after a lengthy injury without going to the Marlies for conditioning. He comes back, wants to take the net right away and completely shits the bed over and over and over again.
It's obvious far too many Leaf fans have no clue about the generational damage that Tannenbaum, Dubas and Shanahan caused to the team's future in trading away picks and prospects for rentals season after season like a one trick pony for players they knew they couldn't keep!
