Good take by Pierre… obviously they misjudged Marners value but other players have taken a step backwards. Don’t at some point you look at the coach who has to be held somewhat responsible to get the players to play up to their potential! The leafs just have no jam/life.

Marner plus no Tanev is literally the best defensive forward and defenseman they had.
I'm not surprised the defense overall has taken a big step back.

What did Marner do? The numbers don't crush anyone who actually looks into the real numbers. Knies shouldn't be playing. He's injured. If he doesn't know Knies is injured, then he's an idiot. The team hasn't been completely healthy all year. Missing multiple important pieces at every point of the season. It's a management disaster. They should have traded marner three years ago, before his no movement clause kicked in when they knew he wanted to leave. Only Leafs media treats their home team brutally. Florida isn't going to make it, Edmonton is only in because of the division there in, and I could name more teams, like Vegas, who are lucky to be in the west. Or they wouldn't be in the playoff spot right now either. Nothing is further from the truth, when you say "It breaks my heart", b.s. You're just like the rest of the media that bashes the Leafs, and players leave because of it.
