1. Welcome back Simon! You looked great after a month off and are the first player I've seen get a penalty for standing in place.

  2. 3-0 vs the Sens this year. Were not letting them take over with the dirty/ physical stuff. Love it. I hope we make a mental block in their heads now 😂😂

  3. Myers is being held out of games for trade reasons, he must have waived the no trade for Vancouver to do that

  4. Great seeing Simon back and blasting that douche bag tkachuk in the chops. Of course that ahole couldn’t control himself and gets a misconduct…also, nice couple bombs thrown by Simon too, need more of that moving forward.

  5. Myers being 6'8" with snarl would be a big plus in the playoffs. The boys are gonna get in, I just don't want them to get just physically destroyed in the opening round. Youd want a guy like that

  6. Honestly ottawa is a dirty chippy “hey let’s whine to the refs” team. I don’t mind all that edvinson extra curricular, and anyway he took tha other guy down pretty hard.

  7. Raymond is becoming an elite player and along with Larkin, Mo & Cat are the heart of this team. And of course Gibson is goal has been has been carrying this team. The rest of the team needs to step up. Rayt L

  8. Myers would have been a small upgrade. My concern is that we would have given up too much for 1.5 years of a 37-year-old player.

We saw what happened when Edvinsson was out. That's how thin we are at D. One key injury, and we go from being a good team to a .500 team, or worse. Kinda glad he's not coming. Hoping we get someone a little younger with a little more term on their contract. It doesn't appear that any D at GR are ready to come up and contribute.

  9. I noticed as a fan that after watching (and rewatching many times) the gold medal game, and the rest of the Olympics over the last couple weeks, that the NHL regular season pace felt like slow motion in comparison. I bet Larkin and Raymond performed so well because they got accustomed to the Olympic pace and they are just thinking and acting at a higher clip for now.

  10. I live here in Ottawa but I sure dont like the Senators. Lots of Wings jerseys at the game last night, as always.

  11. I wonder if Toronto is ready to move on from Matthews. I mean, probably not, but the club is a dumpster fire and he has been struggling without Marner. Surely the Leafs fanbase hates him right now…

I know it's about as likely as getting McDavid in free agency, but if the temperature over there is just right?

  12. Didn’t expect Simon to have some dog in him but happy to see the fists come out. Hopefully his team mates notice. You’re going to have to fight for yourself and your team if you want to make the playoffs.

  13. In my opinion Edvinsson was standing his ground anticipating Brady's incoming momentum. This should NOT be interference

  14. Glad Meyers won't waive. But this just shows that Yzerman is still out there shopping for old, cheap non needle moving player.
I don't believe he will make a big slash signing yet again this season.
