I just feel like this is a bad move. This is a guy that is paid like a super star but is not playing like a super star. It’s a reclamation project. This is like an Alexander Semin 2.0 situation here but much much worse due to that albatross of a contract.

I am all for this. No other center on the market has as high a ceiling as EP40. Rod can whip him in to shape. He’s a bigger body with defensive skills. Send KK the other way and his cap hit is fairly offset.

Heard Pagnotta say the Canucks aren’t willing to retain any salary, and that alone is enough that the Canes should walk away.
