I actually love this. If were actually in win now mode, this is the type of move we need.

    In JBB we trust!

Like I said in the GDT last night, for the first time in a while what we need isn’t depth but rather skill help, we have depth forward and Dmen, but we don’t have someone to fill our 2nd line forward or a Hedman replacement. Kadri is good, I also saw something about Simon Nemec being available, I would trade Geekie and more for nemec.

We need to keep him away from Colorado. If Brisebois can’t get him, he should jack up the price for other teams with insane bids

Go all in on Thomas. Cirelli, Geekie, SOR, prospects, picks. Can’t be sentimental when a guy like Thomas is available. Though I’m sure Cirelli has a NMC.

  5. Not sure how we afford a 35yo Center on 7m for the next 2 years with a face off % under 500. He’s a 50+ point player over the past 5 years and all, but I’m not sure if he’s what we need. And, FWIW, his +/- is underwater for all but 4 of the past 10 years (and most of those in single + digits).

Dreger is a fucking moron. He’s reporting that he heard a rumour of a rumour. What a fucking hack.

  7. Basil_Normal

Would be a big swing and I’m here for it, especially since it would keep him from landing in Colorado. Feels like the cap math would be difficult to work though, I doubt Calgary will want to retain on him

Can someone tell me if he’s like a nice dude? What’s his reputation? Like I don’t want an AJ Greer kind of guy in our team, ykwim?

Reading the comments. You people are out of your damn minds.

I’m so unsure what exactly this team needs, but my perception is that Tampa needs at least 2 strong impact players, another strong Defensive guy and an an offensive 2-way forward possibly.

Couple of guys to light up the roster, I am not feeling it like recently seeing the last few games.
I also follow the Stars and Avalanche too (my other 2 favorite teams) …and I know they’ve got some solid lines. I know Tampa does too, but I am not really feeling that it’s clicking at the moment.

So yeah, I would give up some draft picks and some future guys and just to get two solid guys that are still good on their years and can be team friendly financially (if that’s even possible).
To bolster the roster up and re-energize the squad.
That’s my personal thoughts on the trade positions and how I feel right now about it.

Sorry, the emotional side of me says no thanks. Can’t do it. Just can’t.

  12. Etheryelle

oh he is a sneaky, feisty little sneaky sneak with a nasty streak to boot – as long as we can cover his time in the box…

yeah, still not sure we need him if Kitties aren’t in playoffs this year

  13. Witness_Gritness

JBB kicking so many tires I feel bad for his feet

  14. SliceNo6850

After getting our asses kicked three times in a row, I think it’s time to think about the bottom 6 and blue line especially. Kadri could be nice, but not if he’d get in the way some other moves with his contract.

  15. Allen_Koholic

Sure, $7M for a 35 year old defensive liability is the play to make….

  16. Wayf4rer

Rather have Trocheck. Kadri is past his best and is horrible defensively. Mediocre faceoff taker, non physical. With Florida out of the playoffs the need for truculence is minimized, and I’d much rather pursue a right hand shot.

  17. matt714u

Not worth it there’s better options out there

  18. OldGuyInFlorida

    Red Herring?

I’ll read up on the player once JBB announces the acquisition.

  19. CauseSubject9401

Only player worth spending on is Braden Schneider.

  20. These comments in here… What being in a slump near the trade deadline does to a fan base. Yikes
