leafs did not do much did they?
Huge. Great coverage 🤟🏻
Let’s go!
WHAT A SHOCKER… WOW
Didn't see this one coming
You’re gonna need another pot of coffee…
Honestly pretty even deal, Ducks got a veteran who’s gonna be pretty good I’d say for another 2 to 3 seasons, especially for playoffs, and caps got 1st and 3rd round pick for a player who will be replaced by Cole Hutson soon anyways
maybe caps resign him this summer, almost a point per game defenseman?, caps have equity for a robert thomas run
You probably already know how I feel as A Diehard Caps Fan… Complete & Utter Pain…
Thank You, Carlson!
The trade is definitely fair and then some that it’s hard to see someone that is the staple of the team when Ovechkin leaves he was the captain in waiting. I guess that job is gonna go to Tom Wilson.
They had an offer for Colton Parayko, and STL said yes, but he turned it down because of his NTC.
Just reading this at 2:20 am, my mouth just dropped whoaaaa
I hopes this makes for a crazy deadline day!
Let’s go My Ducks 🦆
Hi John!
As a Ducks fan. it's definitely a FUN trade for the team, idk how I feel about giving up a first round pick for a late season rental, HoF or not. idk if he'd resign with Anaheim at 36. Honestly if the Ducks were going to make a trade I was hoping for a pure defensive defenseman. They'll definitely be fun to watch regardless though.
At first I am thinking a first and third for a 36 year old player… but it is John Carlson. He is still very productive and the Ducks big need is….was, a legit RD. I have gotten so used to the Ducks first overall pick each draft the past seven or so years being in the top five or top ten I was a bit worried, then realized they most likely will make the playoffs and with Carlson now added may make it further than most would anticipate. A first is still a first, but there is a big difference between a top ten pick and one that is in the early to late twenties. I think the Ducks can take that hit to their draft capital. Welcome to Anaheim Mr. Carlson!
I wonder if this leaves one of Anaheim's young D-men open for a trade… I'm thinking Mintyukov might be the odd man out. The Ducks could get that first round pick back (late teens or higher) and maybe even a B level prospect thrown in for him.
