All those recent extensions have looked bad, all of them. Demko (hasn't even started yet), Marcus Pettersson, Lankinen, Boeser, Hoglander to a less extent

Canucks management took a swing at keeping thw band together to keep Hughes around. Unfortunately they didnt see the writing on the wall that Quinn wanted out and tried to keep him. The biggest mistake made was keeping Miller for horvat and playing hardball forcing Patterson to sign and seeming to sour him and losing his zeal for the game.
garland can play on the 2nd line or 3rd line for sure and plays pretty hard. a 2nd and 3rd round pick might not even make it to the NHL. roy just got a 1st too.
