  1. You guys should just live feed from like 12-8 or 2-8 or something. I’d rather watch you guys break trades or more likely announce trades. Awesome work regardless, you guys are the best. Dishes.

  2. Nic Dowd and John Carlson trades hurt so much.

Also, both of their defensive skills are incredibly underrated.

  3. I am completely devastated as a Caps fan. I cannot comprehend him being traded. I don't even know what to say. Ovi might be gone at this point too

  4. well…nashville seems to be bowing out of the race, so the top 4 in the central is basically locked in. Very likely top 4 of pacific get in, so theres still a chance the Ducks hit WC2 and face a central division team in the playoffs (avs)

  5. Review of trade by people who have not watched Caps in last two seasons much less playoffs last season. This was a steal for Caps.

  6. I thought Mintyukov wanted a trade back when he wasnt getting played much early in the season. Lately, I think Helleson is the odd defenseman out. Package him with Colangelo or Nesterenko and a low pick to get a seasoned winger.

  7. I love you guys. Long time listener. You need to turn the brightness down on Steve’s key light. He’s getting washed out in the iso shot

  8. The Dubois injury killed the Caps this year. If Dubois wasn't out for most of the season, if Protas wasn't injured for part of the season, and if Wilson wasn't injured for part of the season this team would be more solidly in a playoff spot.

The Protas-Dubois-Wilson line is by far their best line.

I love Ovi, but good god is he slow this year.

  9. My heart says no, but my head says yes. I know this is good business, but I'm literally wearing the tshirt they gave out at the stadium for his thousandth game right now and have worn the number 74 in beer league for over a decade

  10. As a Ducks fan I am super excited about this add. Even if it is just for the playoffs, right now it gives hope and excitement. Plus he can teach the young guys a little.

  11. The writing was on the wall with Backstrom and Oshie leaving, but Carlson being gone now really feels like the beginning of the end for the Ovi era in Washington. Really surprised Carlson is not gonna be a Cap for life.

  12. Actually john carlson IS part Swedish. His father is of Swedish descent. Surname americanized, anglocized, remove a L, change the K to a C.

  13. Carlson could definitely be right back in DC next year. His entire adult life has been in DC. He has 4 young kids going to shcool there. His wife is local. He's at a stage of his career where he's made enough money that he doesn't need to claw for every penny and can just take a solid contract to stay home. If he returns after a fun 2-3 month rental out west, that would be some tidy business for Washington. And, in the meantime, the Ducks get a heckuva player and a great veteran lockerroom guy.
