  1. Now that Buchelnikov is gone, Lombardi and Plante are the only exciting, high skill forward prospects in the system, pretty sad

  2. I hate waiting 4 years for prospects to be developed then having them traded right before they play in the NHL, this reminds me of the Calle Jarnkork trade

  3. perron is a nice little upgrade. Faulk is a major upgrade. A lot of the higher end forwards that were supposedly available didn't move. It wasn't Steve not getting it done. Nobody was willing to meet the asking price of the sellers

  4. Dubas has done a good job in Pittsburgh compared to Toronto but Yzerman getting schooled be him and Armstrong on the same day is sad to see.

  5. Great job Stevie. Thanks for not condemning the Wings to a future of mediocrity by squandering prospects and picks to help this year's bubble team make the 2nd or 3rd round. With Perron and Faulk, we're going to make the playoffs and might even play into the second round. Next year, hopefully, we will take another step. It's a good time to be a Wings fan. McLellan was an excellent choice, and our play has gotten consistently better.

    LGRW!

  6. Fans bitch when he stands pat and fans bitch when he uses our assets in trades. BIt of an overpay? For sure, but did you see some of the prices? Cost money to make moves. I can't imagine what Armstrong was asking for Thomas.

  7. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. If Steve had done NOTHING, people would be whining. Now that Steve did SOMETHING, people are whining. Yeah sure we could've just continued doing nothing, and we would be stuck in the same cycle every year. Alas, the internet will do internet things and complain.

  8. I have a feeling Buchelnikov is going to bite us in the ass. Unless yzerman knows something we don’t. Soderblom has looked like a 4th liner at best. I had high hopes from him but Elmer hasn’t produced. Dude should be wrecking fellas with and without the puck.

  9. Elmer Söderblom should have been higher in the line up than thirteenth forward to begin with, absolutely hated how they deployed him and even more that they traded him, really hopes he pops off in pitsburg and becoms a superstar!

  10. Perron is 14 days away 😂 by then they could be out of a playoff spot even healthy he was not the guy they needed , faulk sure but 37 year old perron coming off groin surgery is a wet fart…

  11. All the haters that hate these brilliant deadline win moves for Stevie are clueless ,yall wanted the wings to be buyers this year you got what you wanted NOW SUCK IT UP AND GET USED TO IT CAUSE THIS IT WHAT BUYING AT THE DEADLINE LOOKS LIKE.

  12. Yzerman SUCKS at trading just like he sucks at signing free agents just like he sucks at getting physical players on the wings teams.

The only thing he has had a little success at is drafting and that probally is the scouts.
