Getting rid of Buchelnikov is a way bigger mistake than most people realize
Man I liked this trade until I realized we gave buchelnikov man we couldn’t give someone else he’s going to pan out
You’re the only team in the East with a negative goal differential. Meanwhile Buffalo is on an absolute tear right now, and a lot of teams are getting better. You brought in a walking dead body(Perron) and a mediocre D man. Better be careful with saying you’re in a good spot in the standings.
Adding a dead man’s body doesn’t help your scoring at all. Embarrassing.
get rid of that clown Larkin and start a proper rebuild
Hopefully Faulk can persuade Thomas to waive his NTC for Detroit this summer
Stevie looking jacked 💪
Stevie Why the Faulk
Connor Garland has plenty of term on his deal and is 7 years younger than perron. Why not move a 3rd for him instead of the perron deal?
I was OK with this deadline until I saw we traded Buchelnikov.
Faulk cost us a 1st, Soderblom and Buchelnikov. That price is really steep for an older 4th Dman. Another year on the contract is great if the player is a good fit. 'If' is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence.
Positive results will change my mind, but right now I'm feeling this one in the pocketbook.
People complaining about Buchelnikov must forget we arent the team that steve came into that had very little good prospects we have our cabinet full of prospects rn especially forwards we still got Danielson Bear MBN Plante Genborg just to name some plus young guys already made the team and making an impact like Raymond Finnie Kasper (ik raymond is multiple years past being a prospect but hes only 23 still) we’ll be alright why not trade one and some picks for a guy who can help the playoff push
Faulk is going to be 34 in two weeks lol what are we even doing here
Not a good trade.
Very smart hockey moves .., wasn’t fooled by dreaming sellers and yet got what team needs .. trying build a dynasty ..solid day 👍
Brain fog Stevie
Terrible move. I could see trading a first abd they’d fit a 24 year old Braden Schneider. I’m ready for a new GM that likes physical hockey.
Blah blah blah blah
Soo we traded away Soderblom and Buchelnikov for some old skaters in their mid-late thirties that perform the same role..
Detroit gets pushed to the wild card by Montreal and then pushed out of the playoffs by Columbus. This team has been incredibly lucky this season and its never going to be sustainable..
Edit: And they've just lost to Florida. Played like wet noodles all game. March sadness is here. The luck has run out. Now we get to see this team for what they have been all along.
You can see why Steve didn't make big moves or spend tons this year after the way they played tonight. They'll be lucky to make the playoffs at this rate.
And back to back losses in March. Same old Wings!!
Blow a lead, lose in OT then lose the next game 3-1 at home.
Buffalo is in front of us….habs are right behind. We needed more than just Faulk and Perron. We needed these guys seasons ago and w them you’ll see Detroit needs more
Another year of missing the playoffs. Another year of poor scouting. Another year of soft hockey. If you pay money to watch this team play you are part of the problem.
The March swoon is upon us.
