Elliotte Friedman sur 32 réflexions : « On parle beaucoup du fait que Jarry s’est impliqué à l’entraînement avec certains de ses coéquipiers. »

lol this is the only thing that makes me feel ok as a kings fan. knowing that edmonton is actually supposed to be good and has this endless shitshow to deal with…

  2. Slouchy87

He would blame everyone but himself when shit went south when he was in Pittsburgh.

So ya, I can believe this.

  3. Maybe they could trade him along with a couple draft picks to Pittsburgh for Skinner

  4. Bitter_Classic_4773

They should call Peter Budaj or David Abescher to see if they’re still in shape enough to make a come back. Maybe even Manny Legacy or Felix Potvin. Shit, literally maybe even Claude Brodeur

A few other names to kick the tires on, Roman Cechmanek, Olaf Kolzing, Dwayne Roloson, and/or Manny Fernandez & Thomas Vokoun

  5. GoPensGo8758

It’s still unbelievable that the Oilers were dumb enough to take him.

  6. VaderBinks

Man the oilers not being able to have a good goalie for 15 years is nuts (shut up mike smith fans he was 91 years old). Remember when Markstrom was about to sign with the oilers out of Vancouver and went to Calgary instead for like 500k more per year. Pepperidge farm remembers.

I’m no pro, but Jarry is barely a starter with the amount of shitters he let’s in, and has a shit attitude too. There’s defending your crease, and then there’s just being a loser prick. Sad bc I want Mcdavid to win a Cup badly

  8. housesoftheholy1

Its crazy edmonton does not have acup with mcdavid. That is purely gm error

I genuinely believe almost any other active gm, going back 6-8 years, would have made the basix moves needed to empower that team.

  9. Gillalmighty

Appreciate yinz for taking him and his contract off or hands

  10. RustyRapeaXe

It was probably something like, « Have you guys ever considered trying to backcheck and play defense instead of all offense, all the time? »

  11. frozen_pipe77

Wasn’t Florida willing to listen on Bob at the deadline? They win the cup with him, right?

  12. hockeynoticehockey

    Bowman swung. Bowman missed.

It was a confusing trade when it happened, you really had to look hard to see him as an actual upgrade over Skinner.

I bet you McDavid is some pissed off. He left a chunk of money on the table for Bowman to spend on other assets. Why does Stan Bowman even have a job after the Chicago disaster.

  13. kingsandwhich24

Swung for the fences and hit an electric fence didn’t ya stan

  14. TinnieTa21

People often talk about how coaches being recycled is an issue but recycling GMs feels like an even bigger, longer lasting issue.

  15. Its so blindlingly Obvious … Jarry is not the problem.

  16. ilovetrouble66

You know who’s available this summer….

  17. Trading Jarry and skinner when it happened in my eyes was trading for the same goaltender. Losing kulak to get the same goalie was what was crazy to me.

  18. End of 2023-2024 season, Nedeljkovic started the last I believe it was 15 games for the Penguins. Jarry only came in for relief twice.

Everyone thought it was Sullivan riding the hot hand because that was when the Penguins went on a tear at the end of the season and just missed playoffs.

There was a rumor that floated around our media after the season that Jarry was being punished for mouthing off to teammates either during his last start or after his last start.

  19. Can we just end this and send him to Bakersfield and bring picks back

  20. YVRBeerFan

Will they be paying for Jarry or Campbell for longer?

  21. DimSumDino

bowman should start shopping for a new gm lmao

  22. phreakzilla85

What they need to do is go out and find a goaltender with a lot of playoff experience. Someone who’s been to the Finals a couple times. That level of experience is hard to come by though. Good luck, Edmonton.

  23. Electricalthis

Sucks for Jarry but good, somebody needs to light a match under these guys asses. Give him an A for all I care somebody has got to wake this team up we can’t continue this defensive disaster

  24. MangoJuice82

Absolute headscratcher of a trade the moment the news dropped. If McDavid is giving them an ultimatum by not signing beyond 2 years, that should be a hint that maybe aim something better than Jarry.

  25. moviebuff87

The grammar in this quote is killing me lol

  26. NightmanCT

Yeah they all realize he sucks ass and is the reason that the penguins got bounced from the playoffs multiple times.

  27. Showtime98

Such a god awful trade for Oilers lol. Common Bowman L

  28. magikarp-sushi

Really not good to have a bad vibe with your goalie. Like he’s gotta be your ride or die and throwing them under the bus is not good whatsoever. That’s what that feels like

  29. To be fair, our D and our team commitment to D has been absolutely shit for most of the season.

  30. Zarktheshark1818

As a Pens fan, this trade was absolutely baffling ( but I loved it). I am hoping for the best for Jarry, bc theres times where he looks like he’s worth the contract and the price they paid to get him. He also handled the call down to the AHL LY like a pro and I respected him for that.

But a year ago, we thought we were stuck with Jarrys contract for another 3 years or w e it is. We waived him, and he cleared waivers. So the fact we basically got Skinner, 2-2nds, and Sam Girard for him is just absolutely insane tbh.

  31. SalaudChaud

Gossip by any other name (say, sports « journalism ») is still gossip. Sweet, sweet garbage.

  32. taquitosmixtape

Look, I’m sure Jarry is a decent dude but it was a bad situation to bring in a proven inconsistent goaltender to that mix. It was going to be a hard job with big expectations for anyone but…Jarrys numbers show what he is, why did bowman think he could change him?

  33. TheDannyBoyCane

The trades Bowman made this season from the Jarry trade to the Dickinson trade have been fucking putrid. Connor Murphy deal is okay.

  34. Jarry was not an attitude problem in Pittsburgh. That’s a myth. He was regarded as a very nice kid. He’s just not a guy who can elevate his game in clutch situations.

  35. Why did you link a tweet that’s just a quote from 32 thoughts?

  36. CorrectorThanU

Meanwhile Calgary has two elite goalies and no star players

  37. Green_Dark5049

The inability of the oilers to get a goalie for McDavid is mindboggling. Any of us could have solved this problem over the years.

  38. Competitive_Ad1237

Never wanted him on the oilers was never an upgrade over Skinner

  39. FlournoyFlennory

Oilers didn’t have to deal with a Colorado with Landeskog for a couple of years.

  40. biffbot13

Don’t worry Edmonton. Trev should be available for you after this season.
