Bruins fans would be proud of this
I love how this incident is always laughed at and used more for comedy purposes. Yet the Malice at the Palace in 2004 is regarded as "the worst night in NBA history", when they're literally the same thing lol.
this was fucin awesome…Hahaha
And yet the media always says the Malice at the Palace was way worse with Ron Artest going into the stands and Pacers players fighting Pistons fans…..
Happy Anniversary! Remember this well. Gotta love OLD TIME hockey. Straight outta Slap Shot. LOL McNab absolutely would have destroyed that guy he yanked down like a ragdoll. And Peter was a Lady Byng type. Never a fighter but you just knew he was tuiff because he was big. Kind of wished he lost his temper like that more and dropped them. Of course he didn't have to with the guys on that team. If not for the dreaded Habs back in those days…… O'Reilly, Secord, Wensik, McCrimmon, Jonathan, Bob Miller, Dick Redmond, Milbury,….There were some fighters on that team back then. And most of them could play a bit too. Love hearing the old Bruins Channel 38 opening song and even more so,….. LOVE hearing Fred Cusick and Johnny Peirson. Those were the days. Great memories as a kid.
and Mike Milbury had never before whacked anyone with a shoe. Haha hilarious
Esposito did good staying onside and taking the pass but Cheevers made the save lol made me laugh
Funny the Rangers were just watching, not trying to help their fans getting the poop kicked out of them.
I spent an afternoon having beers in an East Norton, Pa bar with one of these Bruins (Bob Miller), the way he told the story was hilarious!!! Glad I wasn't wearing my Rangers jersey…..great guy to talk with.
lol.I couldn't get enough of that when it happen back on Christmas eve of Christmas eve in 1979.O'Reilly naturally led the charge and then the rest of the soldiers followed.Even Dave Schultz never had that type of warrior moment like that.Again with a big. lol.
I don't remember if it was that day or a few days before that game that ESPN began airing.
Has it been that long????
I remember it!
Better sharpen those skates!
I loved it seeing these punks get beat by the Bad Boston Bruins, they both desereved it, how sweet Karma works.
That opening music! LOL!
I was on my second beer!!!! ROFL I love it!!
This has to rival the Pacers-Pistons(NBA) fight back in 2004…
So proud the bruins has this moment in history
I was watching that game. It's funny how the fans act tough and when the Bruins go in they all run away. Real tough.
2:40 "You think we should get into this"? silence "Just a thought"
After that slap shot made them happy
AAAAH
THIS IS GONNA WRECK THEIR SKATES!!
I just watched that part in Slap Shot and I just had to see this.
BEST MOMENT IN BOSTON BRUINS HISTORY PERIOD!!!!
This is actually awesome
2:38 – "Think we should get involved? Just a thought."
Technically they didn’t fail to clear the ice I mean they are in the stands!!
That's my president !!
Now that's what I call being in the Christmas spirit
This is awesome hahaha.
My dad told me they went into the stands and fought, but I never imagined it would be like THIS
Could you imagine if this happened today? The nhl would have a stroke lol
That N.Y. Ranger team were legendary players of the ice as well.
The stuff of legend…
Slap Shot sequel.

Merry Christmas you filthy animal
You gotta love the enthusiasm. Passion is the key to a great life.
Wasn't the Bruins fault someone threw a tire iron and hit him in the mouth 😉
Wow – the Bruin players climbed over the glass as if there was free beer.
