I think fans are just waiting for Danny to say he messed up then move on I mean he won’t be a top 6 guy realistically, he’s gonna be 20 next season and his numbers have regressed every year while even his two way game has gotten worse. Just we knew it was a bad pick when they made it and are still making justifications that it was the right one when there were much better options at that pick
Sure, Just go trade another FAST player with tons of upside potential. Thats a Flyers move.

The thing that kills me,is all we hear from Briere and Jones is how we need more skill, yet the majority of the time we take a two way player and pass on the skill player. For example passing on Boldy and Caufield to pick plain vanilla York. The skill level of those two players is astronomically higher than York. Then we passed on Buim for Luchanko who is nothing more than a third liner, you can get a third liner in the second round. Buim has a much higher skill level than Luchanko . Then we traded up in the last draft and Jackson Smith, a highly skilled dman with PP skills was available yet we took a plain vanilla third line project Nesbitt. We now have three third line center prospects, Luchanko, Berglund and Nesbitt. Brett Flahr has to go, he’s not the smartest guy in the room.
Why should fans stop being upset about a bad pick? It’s news that the Flyers appear to understand they screwed up. How does that reflect on Brent Flahr?
People were saying this was bad at the time, and it is still a bad decision.
Frankly at this point It doesn’t matter that he’s not a true 1C / 2C … he would still be no worse than the 2nd center in this organization. So you can’t trade him until they fix that glaring issue!
So glad we drafted a known ‘not a top end player’ with our 12th pick. It’s a mystery why they’re constantly living in purgatory
51 years and no cup, I am so done with the Flyers. Stop going to the games, this franchise is awful!!!! We need to stop hiring from within. I mean it’s 2026 and we have Tocchet, Briere and Jones. Really, you’ve got to be kidding me!!!! What a mess!!!!
This kid was a reach on draft night and it’s been aging poorly every day since. He was the wrong pick from day one. He’s not taking a step back he was never goin to be a a top 6 center
If you want Jett to be successful, trade him and he'll be a dynamo just because that's Flyers luck.
Neither Nesbitt or Luchanko improved their offensive output this season from last season. Now go look at the Bruins 6ft 7 monster center , Dean Laternou and look at how much he improved in his second year in college. Hopefully the Flyers can trade for him.
The problem is what you view him as, he was never considered a 1C. I hope hes a 2c but more than likely a 3c. I would of rather Helenius but hey Ill give him a chance and I know hes good at faceoffs and defensively. The skating is excellent, hes got enough tools.
Don't give up on No Goals Luchanko! We need another 4 C.
They had a chance again to draft a top pair damn and they opted to pick a question mark instead. Hextall and Briere are both bad at this. Let’s not even bring up the Gauthier debacle.
His coach McKee says he’s coming along great ‘ why would they give up on a 18 yr old ‘ talking about impatience
Danny needs to get on the phone with Toronto as soon as the season is over and offer both first round picks this year and our first next year for Austin Mathews ..this is the perfect trade for both teams ..we get that one c we need without giving up any wings ..Mathews isn’t going to want to go back after what happened ..so this gives Toronto what they will need .Mathews can pick from 8 good wingers who he wants to play with
Luchanko will be fine.
Jett will turn out to be a 60 point scorer with great two way play because it came to me in a dream (it was a pipe dream)
So long story short they picked wrong again. Big surprise.
