Wood and Martin as the top 2 centers has me really hoping that we’ve finally found something down the middle.

That’s cool, but doesnt really matter considering that Barry and Bruno will be unemployed soon.
Now if the new guys like Wood, that’s a different story.

What’s really impressed me most about Wood & Evangelista is that not only have they been contributing offensively, they have also been our two best +/- players all season..

Surin is going to be our 1C of the future. His play in the KHL has raised his stock.
Wood is proving he can finish, and he is probably our 2C long term.
Martin is not the finisher that Surin or Wood are. It will be interesting to see if they put him on the wing as a playmaker with Wood and Surin or if they give him the third line.
Edstrom is probably our 4C of the future.
Svechkov is probably a utility guy like Jarnkrok was for us. The guy who can plug any hole in the lineup if there is an injury, but when everyone is healthy he is a middle-6 wing because the other guys are just better. I could see him holding down one of the center spots until Surin and Edstrom are ready.

Well I hope so! Wood, Martin, Gibson, Ufko, Happy, Kemell, should all be mainstays going forward
