Bader has long compared Frondell to Barkov due to their similar production profiles given their age and playing in European leagues but since Barkov (and others the model notes like Spezza and Savard) may not be a great play style comparable, I wanted to give some other examples.
The extra profiles I pulled are for more shoot-first players like Frondell and/or have those elements while also having somewhat similar production through their D+1 seasons. It’s not perfect – Draisaitl for example is obviously an exceptional playmaker on top of his shooting and we really shouldn’t expect Frondell to have that dominance in his game – but since there a million ways prospects can grow I wanted to give several examples.

I’m curious how a kid setting some pretty impressive numbers for u20 in the SHL didn’t really do anything to improve stock in D+1?
Is it possible to see that shift significantly if his 10+ games in the NHL are impactful as well?
