It’s amazing. But I can’t help but be awed by Sorokin – who’s response was to try to jam his face into the top corner of the post so he could absorb the puck (and stick) with his neck.
Goalies are a freaking different breed. How the hell do you train your instincts to want to do that?

I was sitting behind the goal for this play and can watch myself reacting, its kinda trippy. Definitely the coolest play I have ever seen in person.

Just for reference, that team ended up at 59 points, 31st in the league (behind Anaheim) and got jumped by Chicago in the Bedard sweepstakes.
We ended up with third overall pick and grabbed Fantilli.
