We gotta work on finishing the game. Way too many 3rd period collapses.
That was too close.
Soderblom was fantastic tonight. Frondell looked very comfortable in his debut and had an assist. I liked the way Bertuzzi stood up for Kaiser. I believe Bertuzzi got a cut on his chin from it. What a game.
Nazar <-> Lardis for eternity
Soda and lardis were awesome
A lot of good this game! We need to clean it up in our D-zone, can’t be allowing close to 50 shots
As much as an OTL would have been a comically Hawks-esque welcome for Frondell, I’m happy to see them take the W on that one
One of the best performances from soderblom for sure. What a wall!
can’t believe I get to be a fan of the winningest team the Chicago Blackhawks
That game was fucking stupid lol so much fun!
So stoked to see Lardis in the top six and Frondell finally here. Run wild, boys
SO many turnovers hahaha wow
Totally wasn’t worried… 😬
Wew.
The Kids are alright!
lots of positives this game. Lardis, soda, and frondell being the biggest ones.
but defensively the team has to be better. NY had 23 shots in the 3rd period alone. Hawks had 24 all game (if i heard the postgame show correctly)
Lardis and Soderblom’s best game as a Hawk? And man, Schaefer is already so scary.
Almost shit myself the last period there but damn what a fun game to watch for the first 2 periods. If I hear another soda slander! And oh the young hawks..we’re only going up from nowwwwww
THANK YOU SODA
Soda haters can gtfo
Big win. Great games from Lardis and Nazar.
Not the best games from bedard or levshunov
defense continues to be our biggest struggle. the kids can obviously score goals, but they certainly struggle to retain those leads no matter who is in net. tonight’s game would’ve had the exact same result with knight between the pipes.
Soda deserves a star. Cool to see Frondell get a point and high IQ play not just passing to Bedard. Love seeing Lardis still being great.
Whew.
yeah you can’t let a team put up 23 shots in a period and expect to win most games but luckily we did lmao.
buying soda and lardis a beer and a non alcoholic beverage after their performances.
Second line carried the team tonight offensively, but Söderblom should be the number one star. I don’t care if a good portion of those SOGs are from him giving up rebounds. What matters is that he took so many, only gave up 3, *and got the win*.
This was a really fun game to watch, even if the last two minutes spiked my blood pressure.
Great first and decent second. That last period was god awful though. We really really need to learn how to not collapse in the 3rd and barely squeak by with almost blown leads. Thank god for Soda tonight. Frondell looked really good, and will only get better once he’s more comfortable. Good to see him taking shots. Lardis was great tonight. For once my blood pressure isn’t high from watching Burky turnovers.
A wild Hinnestroza appears in the shootout and gets FLA the winner point. Way to go, Vinnie!
Not sure how to feel about this one…
Some positive takeaways are that both Lardis and Frondell both looked great. Great PK and a rare strong performance from Soda.
Other than that though there’s not a lot to feel good about after watching that. Just completely dominated once again the majority of the game and especially down the stretch, nearly choked away another multi goal lead. I thought both Bedard and Nazar were bad tonight. 98 needs to be better, way too many Ozone turnovers. The PP is still awful. The young Dcore is completely void of any offensive capabilities whatsoever. There’s no PP QB. Nobody who can consistently get a shot in on net.
Sure we won the game but outside of a couple strong individual performances this was ugly. Still waiting to see the Bedard we saw before he got hurt. Glad Frondell looked good though for his debut, on both ends of the ice he was fantastic. Mixed bag overall. Hope the front office is proactive in getting someone who can generate sone offense from the back end and run an effective PP.
So many plays were killed tonight by our back end not being able to move the puck. Just countless head scratching play after turnover after icing that led to so much possession time for the islanders. I think it was a big part of why that top line never really got going despite looking good in their limited offense
Is Artom Levshonov already looking like the wrong pick in 2024? If there was a redraft would he still go #2?
Why is the Three Stars wrong? Hawks said Soder, Lards, and Nazar
Didn’t get home until late, I only saw the 3rd period. How’d Frondell play?
Panthers W!!!
Lardis with the best game of his career. Frondell with a point his first game out. Soda had a good night. Frankie still flying.
A pleasant game all around
Wow what a fun game. Thrilled to not end up in overtime purgatory by the skin of our teeth. Really excited about the new additions to offense. Seeing some trepidation (lmao) but y’all it’s just the first game. Like, can we find a rhythm? Some chemy? I really think this was a good glimpse of a fun future to come. Obviously always things to work on — to shore up our defense and play making especially but I think this was a good showing of a potential new dynamic!
The Soda post-game interview just had the door open to all the players in the background, seemingly working out/lifting after that insane game. 1) I can’t believe they lift after a game, especially considering they did a practice today as well and 2) Moore was just in there walking around (in a boot) so its cool they’re bringing him along the roadtrip to build chemistry
…did we just beat someone other than the mammoth?
I can’t believe lardis was buried on the 4th line at one point. Then gets moved up, has goals in back to back games with a 3 point night.
The home crowd was dead silent in the first and second period. The defense let them back in after controlling things for a while. Soda was brilliant but we wouldn’t have a W if not for Rittich getting smoked in the first.
But a win is a win, and it was pretty fun to watch. One guy tried to chirp me in line for the bathroom, I said « try winning something this millennium »
Yall need to trust the process. 🥲
The kids are alright!!
Gotta get my joey anderson jersey changed to frondell
Soda may be spotty but when he’s on he’s on. Cheers to Arvid tonight who never gave up despite getting **barraged** late in the 3rd.
How is Soda not a star? Without him they were cooked in the 3rd
Soda is the man. Don’t get the hate. Fun game.
They sure fuckin tried…
I am on a work trip and didn’t get away until the game was over. I was with coworkers so I wasn’t paying attention at all to my phone. My fiancée was texting me saying “you’re definitely still working or you’re dead” over my lack of texted commentary either to her directly or to Reddit over the game. Sounds like it was a very fun night! LGH!
