Chris Pronger ne pouvait pas croire la réponse des Maple Leafs après le coup sûr de Gudas sur Matthews. « Non seulement ils n’ont pas répondu à ce sujet, mais ils ne sont même pas allés le voir. » [Nasty Knuckles]

make him our coach idk how but just do it

If Keith Pelley had any guts he’d clean house, fire Treliving, move on from Berube, and seriously shake up the roster outside of 3-4 core guys.

Bring in a real bench boss like Tortorella or DeBoer, and put someone with edge and accountability like Pronger in a president-type role.

  3. this is beating a dead horse at this point, yeah we know. if you have replay available, go watch the Caps/Mammoth game from the other day with 1:22 remaining in the first when Tanev boards Roy. Within 2 seconds both TVR and Wilson were feeding him rights even with Tanev’s gloves still on. that’s the kind of penalty that’s worth taking if someone is taking runs at your players and nobody on this team seems to think that kind of response is warranted

The organization is a joke. Top down. Everyone including ownership. It’s a money maker at this point disguised as a hockey team.

    They’re pathetic.

This guy is blatantly politicking for the Presidents seat. Just like Auston’s agent is trying to Weasle his way into the GM roll, and Bruce Boudreau wants the Coaching job. Honestly lets just Frankenstein this organization and try all three at once lol.

Thia guy didn’t get the memo our power play is our toughness and we have world class doctors to check on injured players /s. Can’t spell team wittout me is our philosophy.

  7. This is the culture that Shanahan and this core established.

It’s been a known problem for 5+ years. 10 years if you ask Babs lol

All your leaders cannot be passive pu**ies. Having fringe aggressiveness is not enough, at least one of your leaders must being this (naturally).

It’s never been about one guy, it’s been about the core as a group.

This really is the straw that broke the camel’s back

This is really 9 plus years of us not sticking up for each other in big moments, I’m a little surprised it’s finally a big thing

Hopefully in the long run this will be a good thing, that will finally make the organization start to make make changes

Sick of this clown. But this should cancel any chance of MLsE hiring him 🙂

This is old news. Like 2 weeks ago

Leafs did the right thing. Violence is just an endless, unnecessary cycle and doesn’t solve anything. Kudos to the Leafs for finally doing something right.

We are neutered by media attention which affects how decision making from DoPS to on-ice officials when it comes to the Leafs.

We literally cannot operate the way other teams do without conceding vastly longer suspensions and more powerplays going the other way.

Don’t believe me? We literally had to bench Michael Bunting because the news talked about how many penalties he was drawing for a week straight. He was getting killed out there and the refs just refused to call a penalty.

And everyone thought it was Babcock’s fault. No, it was the team, the organization, the culture.

Starting to feel like Pronger is Shanahans replacement and it’s gonna go poorly. Leafs brass are telegraphing their moves, just like with Berube(who got a couple of months of regular press and generally good reviews from the media before the hire).

Don’t get me wrong, I like chris pronger as a person…. But you can’t have old school hockey guys making hockey ops decisions. That’s how we got burned on the Babcock firing and ended up with 2nd place in the beauty contest hiring teliving.

The leafs have needed to break up the old boys club forever, but they keep doubling down on old boys.

As a fanbase, we’ve been through a metric ton of shit with this team. This is top 10 embarrassing moments for me to watch that.

He’s your godamn captain and you just sit there like a bunch of wet noodles. Add the fact that Gudas is total POS, you’d think guys wouldn’t need a reason to go after him.

  16. Matthews doesn’t stick up for himself ever and we expect the team to just do it for him? Chiarot and Stammer made him look bitch made. The other players see that too. You don’t see Stammer backing down? Yet he was a golden boy 60 goal scorer as well. No excuse.

  17. DisinformedBroski

The leafs are a bunch of pussys. It’s the new generation of hockey. Very few tough players nowadays.

  18. It’s only a story because it’s the Leafs. Chabot is out for 8 weeks after having his arm broken on a cross check that not one Senator did shit a about but not a word about Brady and crew.

  19. Shanny needs to answer for this, fired or not. This is on him.

  20. SomeEchidna862

Matthews is leaving hair clumps in the drain. Teammates dont like a flooded shower. Said this since  the Jackets series

  21. MomentBecomesMemory

Can they just fucking let this go already?

  22. dingleberry51

Fuck it, hire the man. Can’t be worse than what we have
