My Leafs are officially 4th in the Atlantic. Maybe the Wildcard is our best bet? Nobody's been talking about whether we make the playoffs. Our division is so stacked, it's hard to imagine we'll climb back up.
The Leafs goaltending was and is incredibly bad. But why you ask? Mr.Peabody (Dubass) signs Nostrils Marner and Nylander (all RFA's) for a total of around 33 million. The Leafs also had already signed Pyjama Boy to an 11 million per year which included a 77 million signing bonus. So now you have 4 players taking about 1/2 the cap (81.5 million).
That leaves 37 million given to the other 19 players. That's why you see the leafs with old players skating out to the sunset like Simmons, Thornton, Spezza, Giordano. Mr. Peabody also truly could not afford a goalie like Fleury plus here's the best part…. Fleury did not want to go to the Leafs anyways. Thus the leafs are stuck with Mrazek (who they tried to waive, failed) Campbell, Kallgren. They also go to the KHL and sign Harri Säteri buuuuuut 5 other teams tried to claim him off of waivers and Arizona got him. Mr. Peabody now says they are just fine in goal. Uuuum no, you're actually not. Maybe give Nostrils more money, that'll solve the problem. Lol
The only reason all the Leaf Haters know so much about the Leafs is because they're the most popular Hockey Team in the World. Haters always hate that!
So many Leafs jerseys at the Bell center. I thought the league had banned their sale because of the people burning them in the month of May and that was bad for the environment.
That baby named Matthews likes to taunt the fans when he scores, he can't wrap his head around the fact that it usually bites him in the rear, like on the habs third goal, priceless to see him hang his head, heeeheeeheee
They need to have better linesmen on the ice. They are missing to many offside calls. This is ruining the game every time they go for a Coach's challenge to review the offside.
