    The Top team in the NHL's regular season, there's not a lot to say about the Panthers–playoffs didn't pan out as hoped, but, IMHO, they need to try and keep as much as the team together as possible.

    What Would You Think About Many Chicago/Florida Player Swaps This Summer? I See It As Beneficial To Both. Chicago Gets Some Great In Season Talent, Which Is What They Need (DuClair And Others)/Florida Gets Some Great Players That Know How To Win A Stanley Cup (Toews And/Or Kane).

    Duclair being injured as much as it sucks to try and replace a 30 plus goal scorer this past season, could be a blessing in disguise if he goes into LTIR cos that would double our cap and just maybe we can resign Giroux and Marchment. Obviously for better or for worse we are stuck with Bob for a good while I feel.

    look how the rangers improved after resolving to add grit to their roster with ryan reaves; someone like him could really help this florida roster, or a player like corey perry, or tom wilson; not those specific players; just someone like them; get under an opponent's skin

    They got SWEPT in round 2. They had a lay-up Round 1. Period. Paper Tiger team

    This team totally underachieved in playoffs. Having a team of stars never is the answer….a team needs stars and good gritty journeymen players. They need to get tougher.
    Would be nice to re-sign Chiarot, Marchment.
    Duclair will miss time due to impending Achilles surgery.
    Let Jumbo go.
    Good move to bring in Paul Maurice.
    Bottom line: very good team BUT need to adjust the chemistry on this team with the right type of journeyman players to support the big name players.

    OMG! I was hoping to die a happy woman this season. Panthers win the Cup is on my bucket list. Hopefully, I don't have to live to be 100 (in my 70's now) to see a Cup. Didn't really think they could get past the Bolts. You hit it dead on about seemingly not wanting to sacrifice to stop the puck…which the Bolts are good at and willing to do. We will see what happens with yet another coach. Go Cats! (must say though the Finals were pretty entertaining)

    Panthers are in more cap trouble than I thought. Trying to move out Bobrovsky and Hornquist will not be easy, but something has to give. Re-signing Marchment is important. Duclair likely to be on LTIR at start of next season, so that's 3M in cap space temporarily. Huberdeau only has 1 year left on his deal, so that to think about as well. Can see why lot of chat lately about Bobrovsky. He had a good year, but 10M/yr x 4 more years… 33 years old.. NMC…yikes.. they'd have to retain 50% salary, and offer a sweetener to get teams to bite.

    The keys for the panthers failing in the playoffs were the coach not changing game plan for lousy pp and the 2 studs being virtual no shows barkov and huberdud. New coach will help with in game adjustments and move some more solid defensive players up.
