You left out the best part of the series with the panthers, after letting two first period goals, and getting pelted with plastic rats (twice), Roy told his teammates before the start of the second period “No more rats.” He kept his word and never let the panthers score another goal during the rest of the series in Florida. As a Red Wings fan, congrats to the Avs on winning the 2022 stanley cup. I was cheering for Colorado in the Cup Finals. I remember the Avs & Wings rivalry. the Claude Lemieux hit on Kris Draper is what kicked started the long rivalry between the Avs & Wings.
I’m right there with you. I moved to Denver in 1995 and have been a fan ever since. I now live in Arizona but will be an Aves fan for life. I’ve watched so much Avalanche YouTube since Sunday that if I wasn’t retired, I would be fired.
