  1. Injuries caught up to the Avalanche. They didn't have enough depth to play their game without a healthy Makar then Mackinnon taking a puck to the knee made their goalie have to stay under constant pressure in the defensive zone

  2. Bednar has to go. He has repeatedly been out coached by Pete Deboer and now Torts. The Avs have another 1-2 year window to win another cup. Bednar has show an inability to adapt and complete ineptitude on the power play. Props to Vegas for being a very good team. I don't think we should've steam rolled them by any means, but getting swept with the amount of skill, depth and goaltending we've had this year is unacceptable. I know sports is such a hot take culture that everyone is on the "Vegas has been a juggernaut the entire time" train, but that's simply not true. They are a very good team that is built for the playoffs and they really got a fire lit under them when Torts came in. It's not a revelation that this kind of hockey wins in the playoffs (see the Florida Panthers). These finals games are gonna end with 12-10 SOG for each team lol.

  3. One guy got injured, and the whole team imploded. Lmao. Where was this super deep depth that avalanche glazers were gloating about? The avs depth has been tested, and they had none. Outmatched, outworked, vegas controlled the entire series. Stop with the cringe injury excuses. They got flat-out beat by a better team.

  4. Vegas can suck it. For swapping Butch with Tort (8 games left in the season), and then having the stones to deny Butch the option to look for work elsewhere.

I saw in another comment: “my money is on Vegas to win. Mostly because they’re busy trying to get an NBA team.”

Gods below, Gary Bettman is such a cuck

  5. Don't think injuries changed the outcome. Bednar needed to adapt to the system Vegas was playing. Colorado always struggles against teams who play the trap

  6. I dont think Vegas is as good as everyone says. I think that Colorado already showed warning signs in the kings series with all those games being close. Their matchups were not that hard and ill argue on that. When the hardest round in a run to the finals is a 6 game series against a team that is not experienced and a Colorado team that was injured.

  7. It's a war of attrition, and the Avs had no gas left. Just like the Habs. It's not the best team that wins, it's the team that has the easiest road to the final and gets beaten up the least.

  8. Not Avs fan anymore so im happy even if it's vegas Who beat them, now I just need canes to beat vegas so I could be even happier

  9. Also tax structure is favorable than lots of other places. The weather is enjoyable outside of summer. Homes are cheap
