I agree. It does feel good to be a place players want to go to.
Probably wouldn’t be popular, but I’d be all for some kind of lateral swap that involved Barzal.
I wouldn’t trade Barzal for him.
I’d probably start a package around maybe Danny Nelson, Isaiah George, this years 1st, and Pulock?
Feels good to finally have a league approved star player on our team.
Look, he’s 29 years old and a good hockey player.
If we can find a way to get him I’m all for it but it depends on what’s given up. People will look at Barzal like the next Tkachuk/Huberdeau type trade and I don’t know that I’d be fully against that.

Seeing things like this makes the moves we made during the season even more frustrating honestly. We absolutely could still make a trade like this happen, but it would require a bit more maneuvering. But if we hadn’t traded for Schenn and Palat and already re-signed Pageau we’d have twice as much cap space and an extra first, which would make a trade pretty much no problem cap wise and less damaging asset-wise.
