  1. What would be EPICALLY funny, is is St. Louis were to send a VERY public THANK YOU card to TOM WILSON! HAHAHAHAHAHA….

  2. Bad trades happen all the time. But, there is a second rounder out there if that nets us a upgrade at center or if the pick works out you never know. Happy to see it working out for Buch out there.

  3. I seem to recall alot of occasions where Buch was a ghost out there for NYR. Maybe it works out in STL in the long term, but they decided signing Fox and Mika to long term deals with their cap space beyond this year are more important. As for the 7 million they have right now, it's not there next year, so it will likely be used for rentals.

  4. buchnevich was simply thrash in new york i hated to see him play every game i think they could have traded him for louie eriksson and he would have been better than buchnevich hopefully he plays good for blues

  5. Very bad trade.. Couldnt believe they got rid of buchnevich… And for Blais? Lol.. Chris Drury is an idiot

  6. Dolan is a man baby who is using Drury like a puppet absolute joke I can’t tell you if any of this is Drury s plan or how much of it is Dolan pushing the buttons in the background but we really can’t get drury fired can we

  7. This is a terrible take, very knee jeryk… buch isn't a good for fit for a team like the rangers that want to bang the body every shift. He's weak on the puck and basically a big puss. 1point a game? any top 6ixer produces that at any time. I think Blais will make this trade look better for the Rangers in the years to come.

  8. Listen you can't win every game and they decided they needed depth over top talent. They had Kakko and Kravs and Laf that they thought those players could step in. I think how it really hurt was replacing him on Mika's and Krieders line really has hurt Mika he had good Chemistry with Buch. People overreact if they traded him for a 1st no one would be upset but you trade him for a 2nd and a good bottom 6 guy which is basically the same value everyone is upset.

  9. having the open cap space leaves room for signings before the deadline. adding a veteran or two for a playoff run would not be such a bad thing. drury has been involved with the rangers for quite some time now; both on and off the ice. the rangers record, their start and prior to the (fake) shutdown they've been stellar and one of the best rangers teams in recent years. to trash drury is absurd.

  10. Awful take. Rangers couldn’t pay for him and they obviously didn’t need him…look at the standings….do better.

  11. I thought that Pavel Buchvech was used to trade with the Buffalo Sabres for Jack Eichel, which we didn't get
ever liked the trade or do not understand the school of thought of Chris Drury what he was thinking at the time.?

  12. Look at it long term: laf, kakko fox and zibanejad need(ed) long term deals and Igor soon. The rangers have even more players coming up (Robertson, Schneider, cuylle, wall, huska) and lundqvist looks well so far. Miller will hopefully get resigned soon before he hits the market.
All the aforementioned have higher ceilings minus cuylle (TBD) and I’m a buchnevich fan. Don’t watch a ton of west coast games, and blais looked great in his short season. Rangers future looks bright and I too wish they resigned him for a year and traded him to a desperate team in the hunt. Super disappointed in kravy who has Kovalev potential and is sadly pouting right now. He’s as good as gone too….don’t sleep on Sammy. It was a business decision and can’t agree with drury’s short sighted move. 1 year at 4.5 million, maybe a team gives you a b level prospect and a 1st rounder who’s trying to get in the playoffs then…..

  13. I get that the Rangers need some cap space for Zibenajad and Fox and that they're doing alright anyways but… there's gotta be other ways that they could've freed up money right? Putting Buchnevich back on the team would make the Rangers an even bigger threat than they already are now. Maybe I'm being naive but I feel like that Drury could've found a way to keep him. But that's just me personally.

  14. Can’t keep everyone it’s called cap space . Do u think the blues offered a 1st rounder and rangers said no we won’t a 2nd 😂

  15. Lol too soon to talk. You never know what that 2nd rounder will end up being

  16. Don't forget the fact that Buch is playing on the 'Russian line' in the STL with Barbashev and Tarasenko who have all been ON FIRE as a group. There's next level chemistry there.

  17. This is aging very well… BIG buchnevich has 15 goals..21 Assist.. in 37 games… it doesn’t look like he’s gonna slow down… either..

  18. Rangers have made many excellent moves and one horrible move. This move will ending up costing if not the cup than a significant run. Sammy Blais was a complete waste of time hurt or healthy.

  19. While this trade was almost definitely a short term and long term fleecing, I do think Blais has more upside than he's given credit for. The Blues mainly used him for grit but he had a surprisingly good pair of hands and he really ramps it up when the games matter. The Blues can credit multiple goals in the SC playoffs of 2019 to his grit even if he doesn't get on the scoresheet. Best example I think of if game 7 vs Boston first goal starts with a turnover on a massive dump and chase hit by Blais. Of course this for Buch? Not a shot. But thats my just 2 cents as a Blues fan. When he was out of the lineup it was always noticeable for the Blues and all fans were sad to see him go but the return was beyond anything we could've hoped for.

  20. 60 point season for Buchnevich with 11 games to play. Another awful trade by the Rangers. Nothing new. There's a reason why they have won ONE cup in 80 years.

  21. It’s actually a good trade. The Rangers had to either pay Pavel what he was worth, or get nothing at all if they can’t afford to sign him. Then Pavel would end up on waivers for anyone to pick up, I imagine.
So, end of the day, both NYR and St Louis benefited from the trade.

  22. Worst trade I ever seen them do, It was so evident they were getting someone who was on the rise and had a very high ceiling because he can do everything. Scores, Penalty kills, uses his body properly when he has the puck, knows how to follow his check fully through along with passion and standing up for his teammates

  23. Thank you for making this video cause I was so mad over this, I wanted him signed he finally was becoming an elite player then we said ok bye. It's just awful on every level

  24. Checkin back in 4 months later, Buchnevich ended up having 76 points in 73 games played. Shooting percentage was only his third best season as well! I think the Blues putting him as a key element on their power play while the Rangers seemed to use him sparingly there really helped his production totals.
