  1. Canes PP has been really cold as of late, have been 1 for 20 on a few occasions over the last month and a half, Necas has been on the 4th line quite a bit recently and pretty much has had a season from hell with no injuries, Staal has been hot recently but I would not say he has been over preforming bc went like 40 games without a goal also idk how but you nailed the 3rd line that the canes have been icing, my only complaint for the roster, other than lack of finishing, has to be that Rod Refuses to scratch Martinook.

  2. I really hope that the canes win the cup, can't wait for the playoffs to start!

  3. Love the take, I believe they have what it takes but they will need to be on their game and really not let down. IF they play at their capability, they have a golden chance to take the CUP.

  4. Hurricanes vs Bruins Part III is what it looks like it will be in Round 1. The Canes out scored the Bruins 16-1 in 3 games in the regular season. If they can have half of the success they did from the regular season, it shouldn’t even matter if Frederik Andersen is still injured. I’m hoping for a long playoff run for the Canes 🙏

  5. I agree hurricanes should and will win the cup this year so sorry everyone but it's Carolina's year this year

  6. I don’t think that the Atlantic vs metro argument is valid, because all of the teams are quite good, have the ability to turn it on in the playoffs, and everyone will be tired after playing against other good teams.

  7. Long term canes fan, from Nova Scotia but lived in North Carolina from 98-04. Necas is beast and getting better. He shows flashes of brilliant goal scoring, still young, doesn’t make too many mistakes just disappears sometimes. (Also friendly tip, I learned early in Necas’ career it’s Nay-Chah-s if that makes any sense 🤣).

Cool video, first time here and I’ll be back.

  8. I love the canes odds with there great balance on offense, defense, goaltending and coaching also that most people are not pointing the finger like they are on avs and panthers to win they could easily sneakily catch most by surprise an win.

  9. Uh bro, aside from the fact that you slaughtered their names, Pesce is a shut down D and has overperformed all season as a shut down D pairing against the top lines. Brady also set new points and goal records so I feel like… this isn’t accurate. Also it’s Nay-chass, not Nekes 😂

  10. I get why everyone is saying the Canes will lose without Andersen, but nobody is giving enough credit to Kochetkov. The same stage has been set for him this year as the one that was set in 2006 for Cam Ward. He has already been able to outplay Shesterkin, who is better than anything the Bruins can throw in net. The biggest thorn the Canes have faced with the Bruins was Rask and the inability to break him. Now that he is gone, the Canes have already chased Ullmark, and they haven’t seen Swayman yet. Considering the fact that the officials will be pocketing their whistles for the Canes and keeping them out for the Bruins, as well as any other opponent the Canes will face, the Canes will have the hardest route to the cup. So having the best kill is so much more valuable than having an excellent power play, especially if the power play doesn’t get many chances to shine. The Canes have been in a PP slump, but they were ranked as the #1 PP for most of last season, and a little bit of this season as well. Necas has had a down year offensively, but has improved his defensive game.

  11. As a Bruins fan, I am more afraid of Antti Raanta than Freddy Andersen. We've got Freddy's number (playoffs history against him speaks for itself). If the Bruins can figure out the scoring against Cane's defense, which they couldn't during the regular season, we'll have a series. I believe they will and this will go 7.

  12. The Canes need to show some toughness this year… the skill has been there for a while, the grit hasn’t been there at all.

  13. it is nowMay 5th….lol…any doubters left?….Here is a secret….REGULAR SEASON is just that…THE REGULAR SEASON…lol….WE WILL WIN THE CUP

  14. From what we see the last few days Carolina is the 1# defense compared to Boston

  15. I was at the canes vs bruins game 2.
There’s such a force between the team and the fans and it feels like something special is happening within that stadium.

  16. There seems to be a trend of people butchering names of players on the Canes roster all the time, other than that the PP has a lot to be desired for and Andersen coming back from his injury will be a big show to as if the Canes make a strong push after we see how round 1 ends up. Raanta is showing great progress when he's in the net and healthy, and if Andersen was ready when game 4 came around I'm sure Rod would've started him over Raants and Koochie. Along with the tenders, Koochie has been a huge part of this team for the past 7 games now and is showing great strides to possibly be Carolina's number 1 in the years to come. I know we all said that about Ned (and I personally still think trading him off for a 3rd rounder in return was a horrible idea, even after his year in Detroit) but being a top ranked tendy in the KHL and then coming over and going 13-1-1 in the AHL and then going 3-0-0 in his first 3 games in the league (one of those being against a hungry NYR team seeking first place in the Metro). The future in Carolina is bright… AS LONG AS THEY MAKE SMART MOVES THIS OFF-SEASON IN RESIGNING TDA AND NINO!

  17. Canes PP has to be better to get past TB. Lightning are too good. Raanta can hold it down though
