  1. I’m confident heading into this season as a leafs fan. Pretty much same team. D core is solid. Offense still similar with their core. Ilya Samsonov about to win the Vezina 👀

  2. I can absolutely see the Leafs missing the playoffs , this is a fragile bunch of kids who have no real leader and no idea how to play team defense when it counts. Most other teams they will battle have made considerable strides in getting better during the off season. A fast start is beyond crucial. If not , its a wild card at best and maybe that's a good thing. Might wake them the fuck up.

  3. If Kyle sits on his ass again and goes with the same squad I ain’t watching them again until he’s fired.

  4. Leafs still haven't addressed the need for a good power forward like a Josh Anderson – that, goaltending, and aging, injury prone D-men are the only concerns for the Leafs this year.

  5. ..all teams below Leafs in division got better….goaltending was not the issue….Marner and Mathews are soft..Nylander does not do corners..when the physicality ramps up…no push back….

  6. FYI the Leafs gave up more goals than the Oilers in the regular season so I don't think you can definitively say that the Leafs are better at defense.

Neither team is fantastic defensively, but I can at least see the Oilers goals against improving this year with Campbell in net. I can't really be as confident with the Leafs tandem of Murray/Samsonov.

  7. I am ready for the worst .. leafs not making the playoffs and Matthews letting in be known he wants out and lose him for nothing I am ready for the whole club to collapse from the top to the bottom

  8. As a habs fan what would the be the best case scenario is to watch caufield, suzuki, slafkovsky, dach and the other young players taking a step in their own development and produce but still be near the bottom of the league to draft in the top 5 because we still obviously need elite talent and that's where you get it.

  9. The Sens were so desperate to upgrade their goaltending that they gave up a 3rd round pick and retained some salary to get rid of Murray. He’s now the starter for the Leafs who are in their “win now”window. How does this even happen? Murray hasn’t played very well and has been injured all the time.

  10. the bubble season, the canucks beat the stanley cup champs that had all the core players return. the canucks took vegas to game 7. vegas went to the final. yah, that was boring. last season they finished the last 57 games 32-15-10. yah, that was boring. you probably shouldn't comment too much on them as you are all beddy-bys when they play their games and you watch sportsnet to see what happened and canuck fans know how sportsnet covers them post sedins. liked the rest of the vid.

  11. The entire preview for the leafs should just be that they will win their division, then lose round 1 game 7. Marner will have 0 goals 4 assists in those 7 games and people will still defend his contract.

  12. Mark my words! “The Leafs will be the Montreal Canadians of last year!” We wont be very good!

  13. Toronto has three of Ottawa’s players that were dumped by Ottawa. Toronto can not advance past the first round if Murray is their number one.
