Honestly if Botterill didn't trade RoR for nothing this team would be in the play-offs already. We need a 2nd line center, and we need another goalie.
Otherwise I keep the players and prospects I have and role with it. We would already have the 2nd line center if we never traded RoR, and we got UPL coming up, so we need a veteran stopgag to help Ullmark for 2-3 years until he is ready, that shouldn't be that hard or expensive to get in the NHL.
The real problem is we now need a 2nd line center, and I have zero faith Cozens of Mittelstadt will fill that role, to me they both fit as a great Top 6 Winger in the NHL much better then at center, though that still remains to be seen with Cozens.

This could of been our lineup this past season, and we still could of traded Sheary for Kahun and put him at wing if he was struggling. That looks like a play-off team to me as I think our defense is pretty set already with Dahlin, Risto, Joki, Montour, McCabe, and Scandella before we traded him.
Just shows how one major trade can screw a team for years. So now we gotta find that 2nd line center somewhere, I would be talking to Taylor Hall and Mikael Granlund that is for sure.
I’ve been commenting on this subject before. The trading cost of one of the top 10players in the league is huge. You don’t get Eichel unless you offer at least five first rounders plus a roster player and a prospect. Sabres would certainly not want to take on salary in a cap dump player. Which teams can afford to pay Eichels salary? -Few. Sabres would certainly not accept first rounders from good teams since if that team makes the playoffs in those years it wouldn’t be a lottery pick. I mean which team would take five players picked 25 or later in the first round for Eichel? Now if a poor team comes in and Sabres get five first rounders which all could be lotto picks like for example Detroit than it could be discussed but accepting picks from Maple leafs or the lightning are certainly not worth half as much. Good teams can’t just steal great players from bad teams. If a team wants Eichel they would have to offer something insane. These deals just don’t happen only in NHL on PS4 but even there stars comes at a premium price.
I totally believe in the Buffalo Sabres,we will win the Cup within the next 3 year's ,Eichel has to be patient,we have a smart brain to take us to the promised land,Krueger was the only move J.B. made that was descent well the Kahun trade was a sunny spot 4 him to we, like you say in this video have lots of talent waiting 4 their chance to be in the NHL and We are hungry. Skinner had a off year give the guy a center to play with ,it all we need it's not that hard to figure this out
I totally agree on the comments on Botterill but I dont know if Skinners deal solely can be blamed on Botterill? From my understanding the Pegulas pushed Botterill to make a (bad) move on Skinner. However Botterill constantly messed up trades, contracts, scouting and drafts. Drafting Dahlin does not really count. Dahlin is a no-brainer. Name ONE late draft pick by the Sabres other than Olofsson that made an impact in the NHL? Somethings has to be done with the Sabres and it starts the Pegulas.
Jokiharju trade was Robbery. Plenty of hope.

Good Trades by Botterill
Vesey for a 3rd. He ain't great but he is a good middle 6 forward that the fans like.
Brining in Skinner was good, although, outweighed by his awful extension.
Didn't mind the Colin Miller trade but it seems his offensive production fell of a cliff. Either he couldn't put it togehter in Buffalo's system or he ran out of Gallant juice.
Conor Sheary for a 4th was good deal. Than upgrading him for Kahun.
Dumping Evander Kane another plus.
You never really know with draft picks until 5-6 years after they were drafted. Considering he was around for what, 2-3 of the most recent drafts? With little more than a month for the first draft… that's a bit late to tell the scouts what kind of players you want.
As for the actual picks:
Pekka-Ukka Luukkunen has some good potential as a goalie
Dylan Cosins was a no brainer pick
Matej Pekar maybe a steal, but too earlyto tell
As for signing….. yah kinda bad. Nobody wants to play in Buffalo.
Can we pretend to give him credit for Oloffsson? I mean he technically did sign the prospect that Buffalo already had the rights to.
The problem with Eichel is he isn't a good leader. There is a massive difference between being the best player on your team and being a leader. Something that has become lost over past few decades.
He is a coach killing kid who won't know the mistakes he is making until a decade in the future. Still has massive holes in his defensive game which is necessary if you wanna win as a top center in the NHL. He can put up points though, but that isn't enough in today's NHL.

So getting sick and tired is OK for Eichel, but not OK for ROR ? The ROR trade set this team back 5 years.

Your vid made some valid points . Jack is not going to ask for a trade , he wants to win here .
It's my belief and hope , that Buffalo is maybe 2-3 players away from respectability . That means competing
for the playoffs , not the cup . The instability exhibited by ownership is a major concern for the fan base . But ,
if Adams can improve the roster , even by just a few players , the situation in Buffalo will be much better .
Say what you will about the Pegulas. I still think Kim is a cougar.
