BNG…. You are excellent. You need to be on NHL Network…
Bruins are a much better team since the TDL and the Bruins will win this series quickly.
Bruins in 6
I think boston go's beast mode and destoys new york
6 games boston
153 yr old, lol
Bruins forward blow the Islanders forwards out of the water??? Their top six certainly does but the Islanders have Martin, Clutterbuck and Uncle Leo, no players in the league bring the intangibles of these three. The Penguins defense was swiss cheese after getting pounded with 270 hits in six games. MacAvoy will be the human turnover machine by period 2 of game 1.
Islander fan here. excellent content from a Bruins fan in this video. IMO the islanders and bruins are the two toughest teams defensively to face. i give the edge on D to the islanders though because their goaltending situation is just outrageous. I expect a lot of 4-3, 3-2 games here. We'll see probably two OT games, which gives Boston the advantage, but ultimately I think the islanders pull this out in 6. Bergeron only had 4 points in 8 meetings against the Islanders and Marchand had 7 (with 4 in the last three). Islanders know how to shut down top lines.
If the Isles do what they did to the pens first line and if barzal can step up, then probably isles in 5.
I believe the Islanders win in 6. Islanders have better defense and the Goaltending is excellent!
4 of Taylor Hall's 8 goals were against The Islanders.
yes they have offense depth, but what if pelech said no?
Let's go Bruins!!!!
If the Islanders can close up the good Bruin players we might have a chance but the Islanders need to even play harder on Saturday and the rest of the games. This is going to be a great series
Islanders fan here with some thoughts:
– overall great rundown of the two teams
– agree B's forwards have the edge, but not the blowout it's presented as here
– defense and Trotz's style go hand in hand here; when they're in sync, its a big advantage
– I do think the B's take this, but not sure it's going to be so easy
Isles fan. I think 1 through 12 the isles have the better collection of forwards. No doubt the Bruins have a lot more top end talent. I give the edge to the Bruins in net. Rask is better than Varly and Sorokin is a rookie. Hard to compare to a guy like Rask who's been a star for a decade
Bruins scored all of eight more goals then the Islanders during the season. 164-156.
Go Bruins Go
isles fan here, great analysis and good luck
Been a die hard Islanders fan all my life. And I agree completely with you, we have no actual standout stars. Barzal is the one who comes close, but he definitely has a lot to improve on this season. What I do love about our team is that we have a bunch of people on all 4 lines who can stand with any line in the league if they're having a good night. Our depth is great, but our consistent star power is lack luster for sure. That's why Barry's "next guy up" mentality works so well with this team. However, I think we could have really used Lee for this series and we're really gonna see how he makes our Tema so much better. His netfront presence has been missed, and we could really use it in the playoffs against better goaltenders. Thank you for noticing Pelech & Pulock… Huge reason as to why we are so great at 5v5 hockey. I love how Leddy can carry the puck in, often looks smoother than the speedy Barzal. It will be interesting to see how our "identity line" affects this series. Bruins definitely have a better team, as far as well known star power goes… But that's what we're used to. Love Trotz and what he's done for us, and love Varly….but I thought it was a pretty bad call to ay Varly fresh of his injury that was kept low key. Gonna be a good matchup between coaches for sure. I'm super excited to see how this plays out!
Bruins in 6. Will be close and tough….low scoring im guessin. GO BRUINS!
Penguins overall talent and depth got them on the golf course. Marchand and Clutterbuck back and forth will be fun to watch.
I see lots of people saying Bruins in 5.
Everyone has been sleeping on the Isles for the last 3 years. Everyone thought that the Pens would roll over them in 2019. Everyone thought the Pens would roll over them this year. Everyone thought the caps and flyers would roll over them last year. Nobody except Pierre frigging McGuire knows that Pelech and Pulock are probably the best shutdown D pair in the East. It's ridiculous.
Isles in 7.
Good job Buddy! You should definitely be on NHL network.
unfortunately i got islanders in 6. just a bad match up for bruins and we know trotz knows how to play them. Rask will have to play out of his mind good for us to win. just got a bad feeling bout it
Bruins in 6
Compering offensive power of Islanders and Bruins is next to useless because Islanders don’t rely on offense and their game philosophy is completly different. You can outplay them, outshoot them and still not win. Most probabbly You will rarely see first lines playing against each other. Islanders identity line is not the first or the second one but the fourth one with Cizikas, Clutterback and Martin known for their phisicality and forchecking. The are very effective. Sidney Crosby’s stats from the first round are the best proof.
i see all close games, like in the Caps series. but Boston finds a way ti win most nights. Bruins in 5
BOSTON BRUINS IN 7, BEEN A FAN WATCHING , SINCE 80's
Go bruins!!!
What’s the opening song called? Sounds like the one from mighty ducks game changers
The Islanders strength lies in their depth of quality on four lines. The irony is that lately the second and third lines have been scoring most of the goals with the fourth contributing. Last night, in game 2, the Barzel line finally showed up. But no question the Islanders don't have any one line close to the perfection line. Thanks for giving credit to one of the best shutdown pair of defensemen in the league in Pelech and Pulock.
