If you haven't followed hockey, you should understand that the Jets don't panic,
and if they can't get an equal or greater return coming back, there will be no deal.
The Jets are in no rush, like your trying to infer here. They may or may not make
a trade, but only if it improves the hockey club.
The flames are better then all of the teams in the nhl

PLD should stay in Winnipeg and take a really solid run at the cup this year, then take the trade next year. It's the Jets time to go all in this year, move Chaz Lucius and picks for Toews and Kane trimmed right down to 25 percent contract value. It all blows up the summer 2023, if not the trade deadline 2024.

Yzerman should look to pick up Scheifele imo, though that's more likely a trade deadline kind of thing given that he's signed until 2024. Scheifele himself has some control here as I believe he has a limited NTC. Anyway, that's a player I'd like to see land a 3x or 4x contract in Detroit to further shore up their depth down the middle. While Copp is an adequate 2C, he'd be an above average 3C on a Red Wings team finally able to return to playoff form.
no doubt pld gets moved by next summer. scheifele has a much better chance of re-signing then matthews does. wheeler will still get you 50 points so why would they move him for nothing. helle is a question of how much of a raise will he wants in 2 years. these insiders know nothing. they make the rounds and speculate with no insight into anything. they all said to a man that tocchet was offered a contract and had no knowledge of bowness talking to team for a week before they signed him. i wouldnt believe a word they say.
