  1. Usually as a fan you'd like to see your team go on the power play, but for Minnesota it felt numb see them get that PP chance and never achieve.

  2. Still no props from anybody who thinks they know hockey. Just like here. Blues win and this joker spends ten minutes in the Wild – WHO LOST!
    Let’s Go Blues!

  3. The blues need to shut down that top line of the avs, play our game, and get some good goaltending, and continue to be good with our special teams and we will win this series and make our way to the WCF. I think the players still have that bad taste in their mouth from getting swept from last year that the boys in blue will play their hearts out and take advantage of the avs, especially with the avs having a week off

  4. As a Wild fan It was absolutely sickening to watch, blues are a good team but the wild just gave up. Only 4 players on our team showed any sign of wanting it.

We have a bright future with our young prospects Wallstedt will hopefully be a stud. But I'm not sure how we legitimately compete until 4 or 5 years from now. And by that time Kaprizov will be out the door

  5. Minnesota deserved better. The new playoff format screwed the Wild. I hope they get rid of the 2-3 matchups moving forward because you're losing a great team too early in the playoffs.

  6. To answer your question..i want to cheer for a team that consistently makes the postseason. As a Blues fan i get the frustration of falling short in the postseason, but at least you get a a season of good hockey. With Arizona and Buffalo what is the appeal to watching or going to see a bad team likely lose?

  7. if the Binnington/Husso tag team turns it on against the Avs -we'll have a series and an upset! go blues.

  8. As a lifelong fan of the Blues, Cubs, Pacers, and Colts, I have a lot of sympathy for a lot of fan bases. A lot of spells have been broken recently. One thing I can say. They all came when I least expected it out of them. Just don't give up. The pay off will be worth it and more!

  9. The Blues are at times a little too comfortable just playing D in their zone (mainly when we are winning), this may work against teams with not as high of an offensive threat but if we get to comfortable in our own zone like we did at times against Minnesota. The results of doing that against an offense the caliber of the Avs will be ugly 🧹🧹🧹

  10. We need to play a simple North and South game with high intensity. We don’t have the talent or speed to beat the Avs but we do have the ability to play hard grimy playoff hockey. If we stick to that and don’t play into Colorado’s game we might have a chance. I’ll honestly be happy with just two wins against the Avs 😂

  11. Long time Blues fan here. Making the playoffs and getting bounced early was the Blues MO for decades until they finally broke through in 2019. It hurts a lot to watch every season, but when they did finally pull it off the elation was unbelievable. Hang in there Wild fans. It will feel that much sweeter when the curse gets broken!

  12. I am so happy that the Blues won, of course, because I’m a Blues fan. How do I feel about Round Two vs Colorado? Well I think it’s going to be tough. But I think the Blues have a shot. It’s a classic underdog scenario. I think the Avs should worry about it. Colorado is heavily favored, but the Blues’ offensive talent, plus their Stanley Cup goalie is hot once again, and as you said, SPECIAL TEAMS. I do not think Colorado will have an easy time with them. And I think St. Louis has a shot of winning the series.

  13. why would you think the wild would win? they couldnt beat the blues when they were down to 2 defenseman. wild has awful coaching. they kept dumping the puck on bennington even though he got the puck out every single time.

  14. Not surprised. Maybe if the Wild had spent more time playing hockey instead of engaging in thuggery, they'd have won more games

  15. I’m a Blues fan, but after game 3 I thought the Wild were going to take it in 5. But after game 4, I knew the Blues were winning the series.

  16. Wild fan here. I hate to say it, but I have a feeling a chunk of the fan base is gone next season. We all thought this was the year we would go deep or at the very least make it out of the first round, but for some reason we just can't. You're right, it's unbelievably frustrating watching us get eliminated in the first round every single year. However, the most frustrating thing is watching the majority of your team not even show up. Last night everyone, but a select few looked like they had already given up after the first period. I have no idea what next season is going to look like and to be honest I'm worried.

  17. Wild fans were sooo cocky coming into this series and everybody overlooked the Blues. Colorado fans are now doing the exact same thing…

  18. Would much rather be a Minny fan than Buffalo or Arizona. Having hope, even false hope, makes the whole fan experience way better. Plus, you can go to home games knowing your team has a chance every night. Can't imagine consistently spending money on tickets just to watch my team lose.

  19. As a Blues fan we know exactly how Wild fans feel. Before we won the cup we only averaged one 3rd round appearance every 15 years. That's fucking brutal lol

  20. Minnesota had a shot they didn’t take advantage of game 4 when the blues D were all out hurt.

  21. The Blues were the king of amazing promise and super high expectations but nothing to show for it, right up until 2019. I'm pretty sure the only team that has more playoff appearances as a percentage of total seasons in existence, is Montreal.

  22. bad coaching and goaltending and powerplay couldn't hit the net …ya that's my wild

  23. I’m a Blues fan! I think the Blues need to keep the momentum that they have right now and do the same thing as they did this series. The big thing is the Blues need to stay healthy especially on defense. Game two and three versus the Wild the injuries really took the wind out of the sail.

  24. From an Avs fan, mad respect to the Blues and should be a good series. Good luck and may the best team move on.

  25. As a diehard blues fan, I don’t care for Bennington either, however even I can’t deny that he is on another level when it comes to the playoffs. Also, what’s your thoughts on Minnesota sitting Fleury?

  26. Wild fan. It’s the worst feeling ever, having some extreme talent on the team and then it all just crumbles away. Our defense is trash, Middleton and Brodin should stay and maybe Spurgeon. Otherwise dump dumba, Kulikov, goligoski, and whoever else is just a low rank space filler. We have tons of young talent so I think they needa just give the kids a shot and waste a year, maybe two. We also need to make well with our time we have with kirill, because he deserves to win cups. If he doesn’t see that happening here he will move on and he’s been the backbone of our team the last two years now. We have super solid wingers but our centers lack. We also have some super solid young centers who should get a shot. And down to goalie, I think it would be cool to keep fleury one more year and bring Jesper wallstedt to the show, let him learn from Marc and split some time. Got nothing to lose, not like we have made it far ever before.

  27. I was gonna say the Wild are like the Leafs but at least the Wild reached the 2nd round a couple times.

  28. I am a huge Wild fan and just a big Minnesota sports fan in general. As Minnesota sports fans, we are used to constant success in the regular season, and constant dissapointment in the playoffs for every sport. Even to the point where we expect disapointment. So don't waste all of your sympathy on us when we don't need it. It's nice to see your team have their best year ever, but I also wasn't dissapointed when I went to Game 1 of this series. Minnesota's professional sports teams do poorly in the playoff so much, that local High School sports are often more popular. Everybody in Minnesota plays hockey (especially in suburbs like Edina and St Louis Park). Or at least knows how to skate. So it's a lot easier to cheer for the High School that you graduated from, or even played for.

  29. My Minnesota Wild took too many stupid penalties and when we did, we couldn't get it out of our zone. I can see a lot of our fowards coming back next year, but I think we will see a mostly rookie defense.

  30. Like individual Blues players except Binnington? What do you have against him? Undersized (6’2” 170lbs don’t believe he’s that big) guy passed over and doubted at every level leads team to 1st cup in over 50yrs when he was organization’s #4-5 goalie at start of Cup winning season? Then he gets the 6yr $36mm contract only to lose his job to Husso, the one above him in the organizational pecking order in 2019 passed over due to injury. Then he comes back to form in the playoffs against heavily favored Wild (at least by Money Puck) with a .943 save % and 3-0 sweep in his starts to close out the series? And you don’t like that script? If you brought that crap to a Hollywood producer it would be canned as too improbable, and yet it happened and continues to happen. Will the AVs put an end to Cinderella? Probably, but at this point Berube has them playing with house money and options between the pipes that few remaining teams have. Money Puck saw something with this team in 2019 and got it right. So far this year it screwed the pooch.

  31. The Blues since start of the series came out hot right out of the gate! So, good for them 👍🏻

  32. 4 me the key 2 the series was getting leddy back…

He's been an absolute spark since being acquired imo.

  33. Wild fans and Leafs fans commiserating on the back of the early departure bus. A spot on the bus St Louis occupied for 50 years.
Glad to be on to the 2nd round as a blues fan.
Anyone else hearing extremely confident, borderline dismissive chirping from CO fans?

  34. I watched this series as my first real hockey playoff series this year, my cousins I recently got to meet who are from STL are big Blues fans and I watched a game with one of them, I really enjoyed it, both teams looked good in their own ways, Minnesota will get over the hump eventually, I'll keep an eye out for both teams next year

  35. What a great fight the wild put up but the blues proved to be a Stanley cup championship team still from 2019 now it's time to kick Colorado's Ass on your way to the Stanley cup finals 🏒🏒🏒🏒.

  36. Out of curiosity what do you have against Binnington? I’m relatively new to your videos so I’m not sure if it’s something I’ve missed or not. I’m iffy on him too, just wondering your perspective. Great video again though!
