  1. They are too old, the game is about speed and they are anything but fast. Chara and Parise are perfect examples of this

  2. I just love the Isles, but Luca is absolutely and completely right, they are lacking offense big time; Nelson is the team leader in goals with 18! And Barzal team leader in assists (and points) with 22. For example, the Wild has 11 players with more than 20
Points, the Isles? 4!!! You can be a defensive team, but goals win games. Also, they are aging and Trotz really does not favor young players, it borders the ridiculous how little he favors them. (Question guys, do you have Twitter? Cannot find you over there).

  3. The past two weeks I have begin wondering if Barry is not a part of the problem. In his post games conferences he is being weird about certain players (repeatedly) and has favored Chara way too much (this is in my opinion, I could be totally wrong). Do you think Barzal is waisting talent because of the system like not developing certain skills enough because of it? I know you talked about a change of scenery, but I ask about not reaching full potential because of it. Tks for your opinion as always.

  4. I'll sum it up for you:

    No offense of any kind
Defense consists of 44 yr old Chara, Andy Greene, and other assorted bozos
Team let go of Eberle and Leddy and got older
And best of all: they have nothing in their prospect system outside Raty

They were never impressive. They are going to miss the playoffs. There is no way they keep in contention with the other metro teams.

  5. Even Last Year they weren't a good goal-scoring team. Next, they lose both Eberle, A Decent Scorer, and, Leddy, A Decent Defenseman. Then, both Regular Goaltenders, Sorokin And Varlamov, who were Killing It Last Year, are both Doing Poorly. Finally, there are The Usual Things of The Arena Not Being Ready On Time And All Of The Road Games At The Beginning Of The Season, COVID, And Barry Trottz Mother's Death (RIP to her). Therefore, The Bad Season, not to mention that their Age Really Meant That Last Year Was Team's Last Hurrah, Before Rebuild/Retool

  6. Could the islanders go after fiala this off-season? He’s 25 years and old is a super underrated talent. Would think he would fit well with barzel

  7. Trotz’s mom died. 13 game road trip to start. Covid ruined their team once they came home. They went 0 and 10 or something like that. Once they all got healthy again. Clark gillies dies. Team goes down a hole again, and that’s it. They’re done. Mike bossy dies to top it off.

Noticeable players for them this year:
    Noah Dobson
    Ilya Sorokin
    Brock Nelson
