Ah yes they clearly won paying a almost 30 year old 10.5 mil a year and by acquiring weegar (just watch the end of game 2 vs Tampa) Florida wins this in the long run. They got rid of cap with weegar and got a younger tachuk for cheaper, huby will put up number but 10.5 mil a year numbers in his 30s I’d be shocked
Both teams won. Panthers get out of cap hell caused by the Bob contract with the exception of this season. Only way a "winner" can be determined is at the end of a few seasons, if someone wins a cup while one team doesn't then yeah, you can declare a winner, but for now both teams did what they wanted to do, and certainly the Panthers were taking a step back no matter what after winning the presidents trophy. I am 100% happy with the trade, which, considering the fact that I predicted/requested it 2 days before it happened, is par for the course lol. I did pick Schwindt however in an earlier video to be the one AHL guy with the best chance to make the team this year, so in all honesty he is the wildcard in the trade. But at the end of the day, unless one team wins a cup because of the deal , it's just another trade between teams moving in different directions.
