So happy for the Avs that have been around for years. And especially guys like EJ and Jack Johnson who was with my Kings for so long. I live in Colorado now. So, if its not the Kings, I'm glad it was the Avs.
2 high scoring blowouts.
2 back and forth OT games.
2 tight shut down games.
great series!
Congrats to the Avs! But watch out for the kings in 2023😝
Such evenly matched teams with a bit of everything from blow outs to one goal games Avs Win!
I haven't even watched the video but i have to talk about the series as i saw it. firstly congrats to the avs, it was well deserved. secondly, this comes down to colorado was the better, more rested team. nothing else. you can't blame this on vasy, cooper, the refs, or anything else. we simply got outplayed this series. thirdly, i hope that the more annoying side of lightning fans (although i don't think there are any on this channel) don't make the rest of us look bad. and finally, what's next? do we try one last push with the aging core and try to win 3 out of 4? or should we start the rebuild now? it'll be an interesting offseason.
Take that HGS! Your predictions are worthless
I learned more about the details of hockey watching just a few of your videos than I learned in years of casually following the sport. I learned about how power plays are set up and defended and how holding the stick with your "high hand" works and more. Thank you!
This was a great finals, I can’t wait till October😂 congrats to the avalanche on a great year👍🏼
I’m a firm believer athletes shouldn’t take team friendly deals. Taking into consideration income tax and cost of living etc is one thing… but actually leave money on the table? Nah. The NHL is a business and that GM (or the next one) will trade you or pressure you to wave a NMC/NTC as soon as convenient for them. Most fans don’t actually appreciate it. They’ll likely never have this earning potential again in their lives. Get your money MacKinnon (and Kadri and Choo Choo) 💰💰💰
Time for some jets coverage 👏🔥🔥👌🙏
Congrats on the 10k subs
Parade will be from Union Station to Civic Center park…we will be attending as a family. Just how we experienced the entire season and playoff run. Amazing experience in person!! Thanks for all the coverage.
Luck in the draft helps but also finishing last in the league a couple of years. We were at the bottom of the barrel and Sakic rebuilt this team from the ground up.
If the Avs had Vasilevskiy they would have swept. Keumper didn't need to be Vasy he just had to be good enough and he was. Kadri has been rumored to really want to stay in CO. He appreciates how supportive the team and the fans are of him and how much they believed in him. He very well might take a deal to stay with CO and keep them under the cap.
I love the NHL so much parody and alot of upsets. I really appreciate your videos this seasons. As a sharks fan, can you do a video on your thoughts on San Jose Sharks?
I hear the parade will be Thursday morning at 10. Starting at Union Station, up 17th St., then on Broadway over to Civic Center Park. Kinda crap having it the middle of a workday when most people won't be able to make it.
91: Kadri is likely gone. We took him in, cooled his head, made him a star, but he's too expensive for us, so lets let him go make magic somewhere else.
29: Nate's staying here. So long as Gabe's here, Nate's here. Sign him until he retires or gets bad.
11, 78, 43, 16: Hard to say, some will stay or take friendly deals, but I think we'll see some leave in 2+ years.
13: This one is tough. If Nuke likes it here, he might be argued down to something resonable, but I won't say he's staying instead of looking for greener fields.
6: A thoery I've been circulating with my family, EJ's a beat-up old man. No slight against his skill, he's still as cool as ice, but I think once his contract's up he'll hang his skates and throw his sweater in the rafters.
35: I think the shell shock of Keumper's trade from last to first might sway him to stay with us for a bit, but Joe might seek to trade him either this year or in the next couple. (Hoping personally to strip Oetty from the stars)
95: This one hurts the most to say, but I think we trade Burky or let him go. He's honestly a coin flip. Either his ripper of a shot goes in or it goes 10 feet wide, and I don't like that liability.
Overall, we've got a strong core. In the next few years we might burn away some of our depth, but we can always trade, sign, and draft more. Go Ass, Hail Satan.
I'd love to see a video about statistical analysis of the entire finals series. Maybe an overview of what the Avalanche accomplished throughout the entire playoffs as well. I feel like there hasn't been a lot of actual analysis since the Avs won.
Whoa whoa whoa, slow the roll, coach! Super Joe didn’t acquire all of those blue-liners via trade; JJ was a PTO at the beginning of the offseason, and EJ is the longest tenured athlete in all of Denver pro-sports, picked up in exchange for Shattenkirk well before Sakic took up the management mantle.
But getting Girard in the Duchene deal is turning dust into diamonds, Toews is a well-documented fleecing, and Manson of course the right grit-fit for the right moment.
Great video again just got into hockey seriously this year found your channel around half way threw playoffs and can't wait for next season for the games and your insights on the game. I was wondering coach if you coukd recommend a video from you or another person on breaking down the rules in depth. Idk if you have made one and I haven't found it or if anyone can recommend a video it woukd be greatly appreciated!
Thursday downtown Denver
Burakovski, Kadri and E. Johnson are gone and maybe Girard in a trade.
Are you going to be putting out summer content? You do the best job of breaking down plays. Looking forward to your commentary next year!
Reminds me of the time when a young penguins team of 2009 beat the redwings a veteran team who won previous year.
The Bolts were half force. Hedman, concussion, Cirelli sep shoulder, Paul shoulder and sprained MCL, Kooch, sprained MCL. Point tore his quad. Stamkos either hurt his hip or torso. Free 6-5pp in OT does not a good team make. The Bolts were literally about half force. Colorado had an injured Nichuskin, who deserves real credit but the better team lost bc of injuries. The NHL needs to decide to either cut 6 games out of the season and reduce the first round to 5 or add 2-3 weeks more to the season. Mac was overall unimpressive. Makar was frankly not good on D. Kuemper was below league average. Nick and Lando are the 2 who deserve credit and that's about it. Sorry, the truth hurts. Injuries are part of the season but why did the NHL condense it so damn much? Add 12 days to this season and Colorado likely wouldn't make the finals. The Bolts had residual wear and tear from so many excess games the last 2 years. Colorado won't make it again next year. This was a one-off wo major improvements. Anyone wanna bet and we'll bet. I predicted both the careers of Cam Ward and Matt Murray when they won the cup. The Bolts will be hurt by FA a lot but if Kooch, Hedman, Stammer etc stay healthy, we could maybe do it again; note to Cooper, rest stars, and Vassy needs a better back up. He clearly ran out of gas.
Still think coach had olympics played out right… cale makar mcdavid mackinnon crosby… dang.. to bad
How do you feel about the rumors that Jim Montgomery will be the next bruins coach?
Tampa players Stamkos , maroon lost it on the last goal lol and the kuch hahaha
Great work. I really enjoyed your content and I learned a new level of Hockey through your videos. Enjoy the summer!
Please….it's JT Compher (said Com-FUR NOT Com-FEAR).
The Bolts don’t lose at home but the Av’s were so damn good they took 2 out of 3 in Tampa…special team.
