What a complete waste of land.
Zero public funds should be used for this concussion centre. It is a complete disgrace that public land will be used for this trash. How about affordable housing, healthcare, parks, urban farming? Far more important to maintaining a healthy society compared to a sheet of ice where concussed millionaires chase a rubber disc while the poor cheer them on.
I'll believe it when the shovels are in the ground. They've been talking about it this for a decade.

If the Senators’ bid to build their new LeBreton Flats arena falls flat, then the late Eugene Melnyk’s daughters, Anna and Olivia Melnyk, will have to make a difficult decision and sell the Senators to a Hartford-based ownership group led by real estate broker Ben Castonguay and hedge fund investor Cliff Asness for $950 million and then the Senators will have to relocate from Ottawa to Hartford to become the 2nd incarnation of the Whalers and play at the XL Center beginning in the 2023-24 NHL season, leaving the Maple Leafs, the Canadiens, the Canucks, the Flames, the Oilers and the Jets the only 6 NHL teams in Canada.
Well it's not hard to beat the middle of nowhere. Can't see anything bad happening
