They need defence not anymore guns.
That's a waste for Edmonton's future, I wouldn't do it, another defenseman is what they need right now and they can always use their prospects pool
I would only give 1 first round pick for Kane at his age.
We don't want older players so I'm not a fan of acquiring Tyson barrie which is essentially a cap dump if Blackhawks retain 50% I'm asking for top prospect Dylan Holloway/1st round pick possibly another prospect.
And alot of us fans want him just as bad
I like Tyson a little too much to give up on him

As a flames fan. We want to have Toews. Kane can go to the oil spill.
Love the idea, but realistically, no. The oilers are trading away their future for a possible cup, and that's not good!
Let's say the trade happened,
Positive: Oilers get 1 shot at winning the Cup, but we all know that Kane is unlikely to sign
Negative: Oilers are certain to be a bottom-feeder again shortly after, and another 10 years of missing the playoffs are not fun!
The Oilers fan has been there and done that! and we do not want to do that again! I'll rather be the top 4 teams going into the playoffs for many years to come than get this one-shot deal.

Chicago wont have that kind of leverage. Patrick Kane controls his destiny so he would only go to very few teams. If he didnt' have no trade clause, sure his price would be super high command 2 first round picks to start. Max he would retrieve from oilers is one first round , maybe a later pick but not 2..that's not realistic, Jesse and fogele mainly to make cap hit work. Also I dont' think Kane wants to be traded until deadline which reduces his value big time. I dont' see oilers giving up barrie coz oilers dont 'have a lot of veteran depth on the blueline. I dont' even think oilers need patrick kane when you put so much fire power their minutes diminish for other stars and you don't get the same output people think they're gonna get. Oilers need a veteran shutdown Dman more than patrick kane. Big splash? yes,. Smart? no.
it's a little early to start day drinking bud, laughable trade options at best
