Yeah Kassian has had an unremarkable 6G 13A with a +2 in 58 Games during the regular season and 2G 2A with a -2 in the Playoffs this year.
I agree this is stupid low for a player making $3.2M per season. I also think Puljujarvi (14G 22A in 46 Games and 3G 2A in the playoffs with a minor $1.175M) and Barrie (7G 34A with a +3 but has 43 Giveaways this season and his cap hit is $4.5M) should be dealt out.
Those 3 and a pick plus futures could make it affordable to get Kane a solid offer and fill the other positions with entry level contracts like say Niemelainen, Holloway and Bourgault or Savoie on the 4th line.
I could also see Foegele or Shore being traded off just to free up a bit of cap space for a goalie. I hear Husso is on Edmonton's radar which will either be a win or a loss depending on his performance.
I think Husso will be clutch for us early next season if the Oilers snatch him up.
I think Kuemper (ring or no ring) might be a bad decision. His sv% weren't that hot lately.
Plus I love Husso's diving plays and gusto last season.
