It’s really frustrating trying to find the right goalie to fit our team and help us try to win the Cup. I’m not saying Campbell is a terrible goalie. I think he’s very good and can improve his game more so he can be a starting goalie but I don’t think it’s gonna be with the Maple Leafs. I really do like how Friedman said that Toronto could trade for Gibson. In my eyes I still think he’s a top 10 goalie in the league. He hasn’t had the best three seasons and that’s because of the team he’s been in and the players in front of him. Everyone has to remember that Anaheim was a good team in the beginning of the year and fell off. I don’t know if it was Gibsons fault or the teams fault but I think it was the teams fault. Those other goalies that you mentioned I think will be just as expensive as Gibson and will ask for at least 4-5 million which I think they can’t afford. But maybe if you can’t acquire Gibson, then you can try to sign Kuemper or Fleury as they have had interest in these guys in the past and I don’t think the interest in these goalie has been gone and that includes Gibson. For me personally I’ve always been a fan of John Gibson and I really hope that they acquire him. It would take us to the next level and be that Stanley Cup Champion that we want to be. So Dubas, I got my fingers crossed and will say prayers that you acquire Gibson

Jack out played vasilefski in first series. Had a shutout when vasi didn’t and allowed less goals with very comparable high chance shots. He did let in some soft goals in. But if he wants 4×4 he is absolutely worth it. If he wants 6+ no way.
If we can drop marazek and tandem jack and rimer that is what i would have wanted this year’s playoffs
I don’t quite see the Gibson trade happening. I don’t think the Leafs are going to trade for a goalie making a good chunk of money who has been below replacement level the past 3 seasons without retention and I don’t think the Ducks are going to retain a significant amount for a guy who has 5 years left on his deal.
I still think the best option and what would make sense is making a deal with the DALLAS STARS. The way OETTINGER Played in the playoffs just put him in the Starting goalie category for next season. A Healthy Playoff experienced CUP WINNING CANADIAN GOALIE BRADEN HOLTBY I think would be a steal at $2M
Dallas has more money to bargin with than the leafs and after the way OETTINGER Played in the playoffs. Ya Dallas is not for one second going to let that kid out of Dallas.
Look to Washington for Vanacek or Samsonov, they can't keep both…
Campbell is a number 1 goalie who deserves to be paid like one. He is not the best goalie in the league, but probably top 15. Signing him to a 3 or 4 year deal at 5 mill per season is a good deal for the leafs. Problem is that we cannot afford that unless Mrazek's contract is taken off the books. Sure I would take Shesterkin, Askarov, Knight, or Oetter – but a great young goalie like that will not be available, hence the need to grow your team through the draft in the salary cap era. Woll? Petruzzelli? Kallgren? Scott? I haven't seen anything to say that one of these guys will materialize – Our goaltender scouting, drafting, and development have been the biggest thing lacking over the past at least 20 years.

To blame Jack is stupid .. not being able to grab a guy like Kane midseason because ur money is tied up in 3 players who have had a hard time getting it going collectively in the playoffs .. one has to go .. I say Mitch .. Also no chance John gets a raise on his next deal .. would be nice if he put on his leaf pj's and signed a deal like Gio .. anyways something has to change even tho Tampa won't have a harder series on thier way to 3 in a row .. that don't mean shit .. ✌️☮️
Campbell is not the problem. Mrazek has always been an injury prone goaltender. If Gibson has any intelligence at all he will stay far away from Toronto. They should pay Campbell.
Toronto knows what they are getting with Campbell. As dumb as Dubas is he will let Campbell walk. Campbell will flourish playing elsewhere. Just like all goaltenders that put up good numbers in Toronto. Toronto will never understand. Goaltending is not their problem.
Don't worry. Every single available player will go to the Leafs and management will make it work.

Ok seem like a lot of people are talking about taking on a goalie at a high price but jack Campbell can be back plus we have Erik kallgen don’t know if I spelled that right? And say what you want but I think he could be a goood up and coming
Goalie need to think what we have in the farm team and things like John Gibson that we don’t really need seems like it would be another petr merazk don’t know if I spelled that right like I said John Gibson could be like him with a bigger contract doesn’t make sense to me

Kéllgren is young (age?). He plays a bigger, more solid stance in net than Campbell. I feel Kellgren is a more positional save type goalie. In little time he will be the best pick for the job. Why isn't he being considered? He proved himself last season. At one point I was hoping he would have startes game 7.
If this is a young players league, why not raise a young goalie. Just time him in the deep end and see if he sinks or swims just like how some of our parents threw is in the pool.

I think Cambell, who has VERY limited history of success has not earned a standard #1 goalie salary, It's not like he's been a number one goalie his whole career like others he's being compared to. He was SUPPOSED to be a #1 right out if the gate, but in reality, floundered. Could have easily washed out of the game, and spent years as "Too bad about…." guy…..Then he resurrected his career in L.A only two short years ago…..he doesn't have the track record to be paid like someone who has showed they can be consistently good. I think he's 3.5 for three years…..and I'm NOT a Leaf fan.
the bruins have Linus ullmark for a couple more seasons and Jeremy Swayman has been a good goalie at every level he has played at. Might be a possible solution.
Campbell is a fine goaltender and they should get a deal done at around 5 mill per over 3-5 years. More than fair (market value). I would like the Leafs to sign him and get Comrie as their backup (that is, if they can get rid of Mrazek). But Comrie may want to take the best offer available in terms of cash and opportunity, and the Leafs are (obviously) up against the cap. One can dream, I guess.
I really think someone like MacKenzie Blackwood or Eric Comrie could be options too. Comrie is in the same boat as Stolarz, and Blackwood is young but still has a lot of potential. Reports say that NJ has soured on Blackwood and likes Campbell, maybe you can make something work there. Seems like a move Dubas would take advantage of

I loved when the leafs got tavares it was a very good day for me..but he is not the same player as he was in NY..an simmonds not same as he was in philly.hes too slow and its a speed game now an he just takes stupid penalties cuz he cant catch the guys blowing past him..he plays football, thats more his game now..tavares aint worth no 11 mill..he doesnt even score infront of net. so wtf is the pont, ill tell you who did do magic for half his salary infront of the net and was 1 of the best guys infront of net i seen way better then tavares and half his $..remember a guy names JVR..yea at deadline we declined many offers for him, then few months later he walked free..lol..tavares mrazek simmonds all have no trade clauses but u can still buy them out
