    It all depends if Saros is able to play without any pain from the LBI. If Saros is good to go, Preds in 7. If Saros plays hurt or not able to play, Avs in 6.

    Preds are 3-1 in this year's regular season head to head. Juuse Saros is injured with an injury that will take 4-6 weeks to heal. Rittich was in net against Colorado and Conner Ingram was called from Milwaukee and played against Arizona.

    Saros is unlikely to play in round 1 due to injury (out 4-6 weeks most likely), and although we did win the season series and have the physical edge over the Avs, I’m not setting my expectations too high. Rittich did alright last Thursday against the Avs but he’s gonna need a lot of help from defense

    Speaking as an Avs fan, this series isn't the slam dunk that people may suspect given how dominant the Avs were during the season and I site their last 10 games as evidence. They enter the playoffs on one of their coldest streaks of the whole season. The Avs have tremendous depth and, yes, they did run in to some injury/illness trouble through their last 10 but there is no way they should've lost to the likes of Seattle and Winnipeg especially when you're playing for the President's trophy. The season series suggests that Nashville matches up well against the Avs.

    I'm not too worried about the Avs goaltending. Kuemper has proven this year that he can be a force between the pipes and if he struggles with consistency Francouz is more than capable (if they end up relying on their 3rd and 4th string goalies like they did in 2020 due to injuries I'm going to flip a table). As of writing this, Saros is questionable for game 1 after leaving his last game with an injury. That presents a serious hurdle for Nashville.

    It all comes down to who shows up right now. I believe Mackinnon has/had the highest playoffs points per game average among all active skaters but he has also played a lot fewer games than some people. Last season's series against Vegas proved that to be successful he can't be the only one producing. My prediction is Avs in 6 but an upset would not surprise me.

    Colorado wins if:

    1. They don't let NSH get in their heads via physicality, etc.
    2. The refs continue to call penalties against NSH like they have all season.

    Nashville wins if:

    1. They get into COL's heads; maybe Kadri gets another suspension out of frustration, etc.
    2. They get into heavy block-shot mode or suffocate the Avs offense, like old-school Preds teams would do , and keep games close/sent into OT.
    3. Jesus himself heals Saros' ankle and sends him forth to become a golden wall against the Avs.
    4. The injury bug bites COL again for a couple key players.

    Based on your jersey apparently you are selecting the Preds.
    I will say this I'm giving the edge to the Avs not because I'm a Avs fan but because of home Advantage.
    Fans who look at this season all that information needs to be set aside for the playoffs. None of that matters now.

    Apparently it was announced that Saros will not be playing in this series, an announcement that happened AFTER this video was filmed. Very frustrating that this is the second time this has happened (first with Jarry in the PIT vs NYR video). Bad timing. Anyway, I just wanted to note that because I know there will be a lot of comments like "Do your research". *sigh*

    Ha I’m the opposite as you. Yes we are both habs fans, but one of your teams is Colorado while one of mine is Nashville. I think this will be a very intense series that could go seven, even with rittich in the net

    Thanks for doing these previews happy playoffs! I’m going avs in 5 not confident nashvilles goaltending can hold up but they are very physical so they’ve got a shot

    Even with saros out the preds have no expectations and people are writing them off I still believe Colorado will win but I totally agree the pressure of needing to do well and the physical game nashville can play I wouldn't be surpised with an upset everyone had carolina sweeping them last year and while it only went to 6 games 5 of those games nashville gave carolina a run for their money so I honestly wouldn't be shocked if nashville won this series

    This isn’t the last few years boys. Av’s won’t choke. At least not in the first round. There isn’t a team that touches the Avs. Defense and fluke goals could be their demise, it is the playoffs after all.

    Nashville has had some of the most odd stretches of hockey and some tough losses in their last games. I think the at Nashville is going to make it a good series, and as long as Rittich stays in the game and Ingram doesn’t have to play, the Preds will fight hard.

    Colorado’s record the last 10 games is fairly irrelevant. They were resting 1/2 their stars and playing to not get hurt.

    Colorado fan here and that was a good analysis. 30 days ago, I'd say Colorado will sweep, but for the past few weeks the Av's looked like the end of second round last year with the big meltdown.

    I think Colorado is going to beat Nashville predators in a sweep and I think Colorado avalanche is going all the way to the Stanley cup finals

    In years past physicality could have knocked Colorado off their game. This year is a different story. They will hit back just as hard and keep scoring. No chance this goes past 5.
