  1. tbh i think if we come back next year with a better core, miller will have a bettter year than he did this year.

  2. Completely agree as a Rangers fan on your analysis of his short comings. No consistent back check…over the top moves and would lose his cool a lot. Best to trade now and get a good return. Love the channel

  3. I think the only way they get a deal done is a 8m × 4-5 years. He's got a fire that Stanley cup winning teams desire. I don't see him declining that much.

You are right though, Lego. He's better off as a trading chip.

  4. I still like the idea of getting rid of Boeser and Myers for some picks and then sign Miller. Even though I feel for everything going on in his personal life I feel like it would be best for the team. Look at Kopitar on LA right now. Like yeah he’s definitely not producing as much. But I can see Miller aging into that kinda player as he gets older. He will never stop competing.

  5. I think J.T. is worth 9 for 3 years 7.5 to seven for 2 more. Why do I say that because he is not only a left wing but can play centre or right.Versatility is huge at the forward position, especially top 6.He came from a team that has a fantastic development program. Sign him move Boeser he wants to be close to his family

  6. Back to Rangers big package coming back 1st 5 asset snieder makes sense canucks tied up Myers oel contracts yikes Don't need Another Liu Erickson contract

  7. I’d rather have Boeser back if he can be signed for less than what Miller’s cap hit would be. At least we can project an upward trajectory for Brock given his age. Miller is way more up in the air and stinks of a potential glorified Loui Eriksson situation. We’ll pay him until he’s 36 or 37, and he’ll be worth his money until he’s 32 or 33. And we won’t win the Cup anyway, because we’re cash strapped again. You resign a guy like Miller because you’re a contender and making a gamble that he’ll be that 99 point player for long enough to make a push for the Cup. The team isn’t even in the playoffs. We can speculate what would have happened if Bruce had come in sooner, but the fact remains, they missed the playoffs. You don’t spend $7+ million for 4guys, 2 of whom are over 30, and expect to win anything. Demko is signed for 4 more years. We’re gradually wasting that good contract of his. Miller has Eriksson written all over him.

  8. Well its benning poor moves that dont allow us to retain our top.guys..face it we are a farm team

  9. plenty of good vets..ovechkin, pavelski marchand, letang etc…jt is not a one hit wonder he has been getting better n better every year. i get you dont like him heck i been preying for a myers trade since day 1. trade myers poolman pearson, garland, dickenson and we got 20 mill in cap space and can keep jt bo and brock and sign a high end forward. the young kids need to be taught by the vets so you need a good mix.

  10. Bang on! Long term can't give major capspace to an aging and most likely and eventually declining producer. Theoretically, we would have at least 1 or 2 down years if Miller went long term and that's capspace taken from the younger core. His value now is exponentially more helpful to the team improving as opposed to trying to trade him at the tail end of a inflated raise. Avoid the risk/ take the reward this summer.

  11. I agree with you Lego, that was a good evaluation of Miller. However you should also include the level of mentor ship that he brings to the team for the young guys and even supporting the veterans

  12. Depending on how much Miller wants is really the deciding factor imo, let’s say a bridge deal for 8 million I’ll do that, but if it was a max contract 8×8 I wouldn’t. Rather grab picks & a top 4 RHD if that was the case. Excited to see what the Canucks do this off season.

  13. Still think the team have to take a step back for next season, by trading out bad contracts, and getting assets… and that is another reason why they wouldn't extend Bruce.

  14. If Miller would sign for around 5 x 7.5, it could be a good deal. Miller is a good team leader and a clutch player and physical…

If he wants more term, or crazy money, trade him…

  15. I totally agree… and business 101 teaches us to buy low and sell high. If Miller can garner a boatload of picks, young budding stars and prospects in return, I’d say trade him so the return will mature when EP40 and Hughes hit their prime. This too is why I feel between Miller and Boeser I will keep Boeser – his value has lowered this year but I do believe he can bounce back and can still grow as a player. His off year may mean his asking price for a contract extension has to be lowered, so you lock him up in a reasonable deal for five years and hope he grows. Miller, you trade when he has value, much like Linden got us Bertuzzi back in the day.

  16. Miller is better than just "a good player"..as you call him. I would give him a bit more credit than that .
But after you say that about him , your all excited about how much of a return you can get for him in a trade .

  17. Realistically, JT Miller is probably gonna ask for more money to financially secure himself and his family long-term. He'll most likely negotiate for a $8.5-$9.5 mill x 6 yrs. It would be nice to see him return next season but I don't wanna see another cash-strapped scenario in Vancouver. Trade him while his value is at its highest and acquire high quality assets in return.

  18. I hope he gets traded and scores multiple hat tricks against Vancouver in future…but I'm a Ducks fan so get what ya can now

  19. My Sabres have tons of cap space but most teams won’t be able to give him 9 mill per year to fit under cap.

  20. If the team promises him a position in the organization when he retires from playing maybe he gives us a deal. His family gets life stability in regards where they call home and he can continue his hockey career beyond playing years with an organization and management he's familiar with. Never know🤷‍♂️

  21. I like Miller but if there ever was a time to get a good return on a possible trade, it'd be now. I'm afraid I'm one of the ones also blinded by his points lol. Some really good points made. I'm interested to see where the Canucks will go in this off season
