    Everytime Zibanejad's line was on the ice, Cooper immediately put Cirelli's line there. Effect? Top Rangers line had only 10% expected goals 5v5 in Game 3. In game 4 top line only had 4 shots combined. Great shutdown work by Tampa.

    Tampa Bay had 28 giveaways in Game 1, 22 in Game 2, only 6 in Game 3 and 9 in game 4. Big difference.

    Last nights game was genuinely difficult to watch as a Rangers fan. However, it was nowhere near as bad as Game 4 vs. Pittsburgh. This to me seems like the lowest level of play the Rangers could have reached at this stage in their run. If we do not find a way to return the favor in MSG tomorrow, then I fear the result of this series will be the Bolts winning in 6. Once Tampa gains enough traction, the sky is the limit for their squad, and anything that stands in their way has little to no chance of survival.

    I have to disagree with your insistence that the Rangers are simply “giving” these goals to the Bolts. The Rangers have proven that opportunities given up by their defense simply do NOT translate to goals. Igor has given them an incredible fail safe system, and their rebound control is extremely hard to overcome. The Lightning have made it known throughout the league that they’re experts on making teams pay for their mistakes. You don’t see many other teams with that ability.

    New York won their home games and now Tampa won their home games. When New York won their first two games the fans were writing off Tampa by not giving them a chance to play their two home games. Now were even.

    You know what coach Ryan: that shot on goal by Zach Bogosian almost reminds me of the scored goal in the regular season against the Rangers by Connor McDavid. Connor just went through almost the entire Rangers defense. Zach just set up the Pat Maroon goal by drawing almost the entire Rangers defense.

    as a rangers fan I really wanted to hear you rip on the boys a little more. that was one of the worst games we’ve played in the post season at least from what I saw in the game. we finally got one back in the end and I hope that gives us some momentum going home to MSG but scrolling through the comments on games 1, 2 and 3 none of us rangers fans were gonna be happy with anything but a 3-1 lead. not getting the split in tampa is scary

    I was at this game, and have the missing voice to prove it 😂 Game was all Bolts from puck drop and Vasy was locked it. During stopage time I would watch him and he would be doing little drills to stay sharp, while Igor was just kinda waiting around for the faceoff and every once and awhile talk to one of his defensemen. Also Bolts defense that we saw during the FL series finally looked to be showing up with lots of blocked shots.

    I really enjoy your analysis of this, I think you're fair with your criticisms of the mistakes the Rangers are making in positioning. None of these players are bad, you're (correctly) pointing out the mental lapses that can happen to anyone on the ice due to fatigue and making snap decisions in important moments. However, everyone knows you have to try to limit those mistakes from happening and that you need to adjust appropriately when they inevitably happen, especially to from your teammates.

    So when you have a bunch of errors, and the adjustments from the team do not appropriate cover them, it's what leads to goals that might normally not happen. In my belief that's crucial information for fans to understand what's happening. I've seen plenty of examples of how good the Lightning are at capitalizing on mistakes, but without understanding the context of why things broke down all I can think is that the Bolts are Sorcerers of some kind.

    So thank you for the insight, I feel like I'm learning something.

    This lightning team has depth beyond their normal every game lineup. NY does not. Once people get hurt for us we don't have anyone to replace them. At all. Who is gonna step in Gauthier!? He sucks. There's a reason why Carolina gave up on him. Lol but either way I'm proud of this team we weren't supposed to even make the Ploffs this season let alone the ECF.

    However I am not proud of the effort they given in games 3,4,&5.

    Rangers played terrible, for some reason they always play terrible on the road unless it's an elimination game I don't understand it. Tampa finally looked like the defending champs kucherov is fun to watch. Great review buddy
