I think konecny going after matthews was because matthews accidentally shoved his skate into knoecnys face after he scored his goal
When you go after the MVP, you force the Leafs to react quick and put yourself at risk.
Great game….but it's just ONE game….our next 3 are tough and if we go 0-3, Sheldon will still be in hot seat.

Don’t be impressed leaf fans… they won against a short handed team using a third string goalie… they were also close up till 8 minutes left in the third period
Its great to see how they stood up for themselves at the end. Thats exactly what should happen. The problem is…because of their softness, they will have to do this more often because teams will try to intimidate any team that can be intimidated. And tbh…they do not have the players that can keep this up. Also if they werent so soft in the first place then this would not be happening at all. This win tonight just proves they are a skillful team ….but not a playoff team.

Leafs HAVE to stand up for each other and buy in. They have to play for each other every game. This will be the year of a big trade or a shake up if they dont. It looks like they got the message from all the media and the fans. 👍🏻👍🏻
