I was watching the espn gamecast of the game while i was on a phone call with my dad and he asked about the Leafs and I said, “ oh, they forced OT” as the 5:00 started, I then said, “oh God, OT.” And before I could even begin a rant to my dad about how they were 1-5 in OT, they made it 1-6. Bruh.
To the question, "What did I miss?". I direct my answer to SN decision makers. Last time I looked, it was 'Watch a Leafs Game With Steve Dangle", then it wasn't, so I'm fairly certain Steven and the broadcast "missed" some viewers…I don't know, I didn't watch! It sucks you didn't get to see this game, I question what your bosses are thinking. I will say that the game just felt like one of those "you can't win them all" games. They played well and for some reason there was a stupid amount of penalties, most against us. I don't feel bad about this loss at all
Record breaking elite talent, elite yips. Send them to a sports therapist in the off season once and for all, this is fixable but by slightly unconventional methods.

They really need to cut out all these stick infraction penalties, 2-1 lead evaporated in minutes due to careless tripping penalties

I know you were sort of joking about 3 on 3 starting line, but I was actually thinking something almost the same thing. I think they need to go outside the box now. Put out a "penalty kill" line, whoever that is. Kampf, Marner/Engvall/Robertson, and …Holl/Giordano (?) and mostly try to shut down the other team/ take care of the puck better but have a possible quick transition breakout. Then after a minute or so send out Mathews, Nylander, Sandin or something and try to end it on offense. They HAVE to do something different. It can't be the same thing the next time it happens.

The disallowed goal…I had no problem with. However,…..for god sakes, there should have been a penalty on Hedman for the absolute mugging on Tavares, especially when they called 3 penalties on the leafs earlier in the period. Brutal calls all night……or should I say no calls

If JT didn’t bring his leg around while falling, he’d be in hospital with a broken leg. The rush leading up to that was still pretty sweet.

Leafs need to wear this loss really hard. They NEVER step up and win when it's a clutch situation. They choke EVERY time. They need to hold themselves accountable, you can't go 1-6 in OT and expect to go rounds in the playoffs.

Steve complaining about the disallowed goals is kind of funny considering his schadenfreude after the devils game. The issue is the interpretation of the rules. They should be clarified and made more specific to avoid all the confusion and anger from the fan bases.
