Where did the Avs speed go to? Why did the Avs look average last night?
Avs first playoff road loss. Theyve been in Colorado for awhile. First loss to Tampa in 3 freaking years. Idk they got out worked but Tampa believes they had way more to lose having it go 0-3 at home. First period avs were fine and still out shot the bolts in the end. Avs are still in comfortable position.

Coach, you said at some point last week…we really won't know what this series'll look like until AFTER game 3. You were so right and no one should rule Tampa out yet. When the bear is in the corner being poked with the stick, Vasy comes out, stands on his head and the depth of the Lightning is on display.
This was a must win game for the Lightning over the Avalanche tonight finally it's a series now just want a long series that's all everyone was thinking the Avalanche was gonna sweep the Lightning hockey fans stop whining it wasn't happening.
Colorado played horribly our defense was horrible top pair included! I fully expect to see Frankie in goal next game! The AVS played Tampas game. I fully expect to see some major adjustments next game. It’s one game good game Tampa. Tampa showed why they are here I knew they would. Not all negative for Colorado our power play is still fire. The offsides call was huge but right hate to say it. 2-0 vs 1-0 would have been huge! On to next love your channel.

That was a must win game for the Bolts and they didn't disappoint. I'd love to see the scoring chances though, I felt like the Avs shots just weren't getting through tonight although not for lack of trying. Some nights are like that and it was the opposite of the last game where everything went in. Some great skilled plays by the Bolts however the Avs don't quit and I see them coming back to win game 4. I wouldn't say the Bolts PP is back though, 1/6 is still pretty poor!
yup that Kocherov skate was totally unfortunate toe pick by him. NOT a dirty hit at all. sometimes when you play the game like Koch does what comes around goes around you know.
I feel like you didn't watch the same game as I did. The Avs dominated in game 2. Tampa had like 3 scoring changes the entire game. Game 3, the Avs outshot TB. They had a hot goalie, they didn't dominate.
TB created better opportunities last night. Can the Avs adjust? So dumb to say Vasy is back – the Avs had no where near the chances they created the previous two games. Where were the rushes from the Avs? TB did what TB does – they adjust. They did it to Toronto. They did it to NYR. Just giving the "Vasy's back" is silly. Kuemper would have won if you swapped goalies. The only questionable goal – the underarm by Paul. But goalies, even Gods like Shesterkin and Vasy, give that up at times, from the middle. Arm go WIDE to block post or hold tight? Hard to know if you can't see the puck leave the stick.
TB caught Makar and company on an off night. Or perhaps they figured something out. Lots of those across the lane passes or switches. The most dangerous shots that didn't go in were from Compher – hit or miss guy. Anyway, the series is pretty much Colorado's if they re-adjust. Else, it's 7 and a coin flip.
That hurt but its possible it was just a way to win the cup in ball stadium
I just started watching you videos, you do a great job. Look, I think people are over analyzing this series. Hockey is a strange sport in that every game is it’s own animal. Colorado didn’t have it tonight but I expected the 2 time champs to play their best game. Going forward, there’s a couple big things to watch. Injuries, CO has a lot of keys guys out but Tampa is looking beat up. Kuch would be a huge loss. I still think CO is the better team but their goalie situation is concerning. And at the end of the day, it’s gonna which team wins all those individuals battles. I didn’t see Tampa make any big coaching changes, their guys just won all those individual battles. This next game I expect to be close like game one. Gonna be great. Go Avs……
What's weird about this series is Colorado is a lot like how Tampa used to be. I'm old enough to remember lightning hockey pre Tom Brady bringing his magic to town ( Undebatable, don't even try). They would look like world beaters and clear favorites and choke in the playoffs. Colorado has been that team for 4-5 years running.
The difference to me is; your lightning have the best goalie in the world and the Avs have two backup level goalies.
Waited for Lightning to start their hitting game from the first game but AVS are soo inhumanly fast they are gone until last night. Bolts got grit and structure but Avs are just super zippy that negate all that. How many times did Avs single player skate right up the wall skate right to the slot for a great shot. It will be hard to get the visitor energy back in Colorado at a mile high. That is why they play the games. Don't forget the home team always get a call or few so tough sledding for Bolts. All the 7 game predictions are looking more likely.
Tampa could have won game one – people forget it was 4-3 in OT off a power play that went into the OT. So this series could easily be 2-1 Tampa despite the debacle by both teams in games 2 and 3- the key for Tampa is to keep putting shots up at the Avs goalie – whoever it is- more shots equal more scoring opportunities which were non existent in game 2 – Vasy is great but it’s an unfair assessment of him in game 2 when the Avs we’re putting up shots- power plays, even a 5 on 3 score. The Avs are faster but to say it’s so lopsided to the Avs is nonsense. The Lightning just need to keep playing defensive and physical- rattle the Avs and frustrate them like last night

So, we now have 2 games, one for each team, that you can take the game film and burn it, but, the way tampa played in game 3, with the exception of them scoring 6, is far more sustainable than the way Colorado played in games 1 and 2… vasy is the key, if he's finally awake, the avs life just got a lot tougher… this might turn into the series most of us thought it would be…

Best thing about our depth is yes we’ve got good players but also if someone is injured the rest of the team tends to play better because they want to win for the injured player. Stamkos playing a few shifts and scoring in the 2020 finals really was a moral boost for the team and we all saw how they played afterwards
Avs face adversity in one game so they try to injure two more of our forwards. Pretty shady organization

Crosschecking a player down on the hip is pretty much the definition of intent to injure. Pretty laughable to call what Toews did "steering". Driving a player's hip downward with a crosscheck is dirty. Period.
I'm sticking to my pick avs in 5, avs literally played there worst game of the entire playoffs last night. expect the juggernaut avs to be back on track tomorrow and keep rolling
Av's take the next two and end the series All due respect to the bolts but Colorado was built for this series this year. Reminds me of Detroit in the 90's, designed to win and they will lose a lot of players next year

Let's clarify one thing, the Bolts did not overwhelm the Avs in this game, as in, this was not the reverse of game 2. By advanced metrics, the Avs still had the slight advantage in the first and second periods, and also in the third but with the score effects that basically didn't matter much. Vasi did Vasi things, saving about 2 more goals than expected, and the Avs ended up giving up 2 more goals than expected, so essentially with average goaltending, this should've been a 4-4 game. A big part of the reason it wasn't were some absolutely brutally stupid plays by the Avs defense that hung Kuemper out to dry on at least 3 of the goals. The other two were ones you'd kind of like your goalie to make.
Regardless, I think Kuemper still starts game 4 and we'll see if the Avs can get back into paying attention to the details and cleaning up those very silly mistakes. There's no panic here though, it's nothing serious until a home team loses. On to game 4.
I think Avs fans were surprised at how bad their team got beat. No surprise to most of the Bolts faithful. Some Avs supporters are saying that this series is not the same as the Leafs, Panthers, or the Rangers. That is true but the Bolts are the same team with the same tendencies. Don’t be fooled. They do have the talent and skill to beat the Avs. And if the Bolts can continue what they started on Monday night then welcome to the Bolts zone.
