Pulji signed with Edmonton for 1 year
Plz don’t sign klingberg
If they could get him for 4-5 years at a number under 7 I’d be happy with that. If… if you could move Pearson, and/or Dicky and Myers then it would make sense. I don’t see any of that happening but then again, silly season still has 80 more days!
Whats up with miller traded being signed??
It doesn't matter how good of a player Klingberg can be on the PP if the Canucks run with 4F + 1D… and have the 1PP play like 90 seconds of it.
They already have OEL who has always been the PPQB until he was traded in Vancouver, but can't really do much with a 2PP unit that is just whoever is leftover on the top-6.
Now if the Canucks will actually have 2 good powerplay units, then picking up Klingberg might not be that bad of an idea. The Canucks used to always have 2 legitimately good PP units back in the days…. #1 WCE + #2 Sedins, then #1 Sedins + #2 Kesler. The whole loading up just 1 unit means the first unit can play without any urgency, wasting time, etc.
Ideally, we'd move Miller for at least a 1st and a young D man, Myers and Pearson for anything without salary retention and bring in Klingberg for under 5 years at a reasonable cap hit. Worst case, we'd have a 1st round pick, a top 4 D man, potentially a young D man who can move up the lineup as he develops and pretty decent cap space. There's no point in having a bottom pairing D on this team making 6 million against the cap. That's terrible cap management.
Myers and Garland package
I would only do klingberg if it was like a 1-2 year deal
Klingberg will want a long term deal. OEL 2.0.
If you’re gonna trade Myers you better have a plan. He is a big RHD who can make good plays and has improved form the past two seasons. Also he was the only player to play all 82 games for us last season. Is he worth $6 million? No, but a right side defense man with those attributes aren’t far off of that price in the market
Myers can fetch a good draft choice at the 23-24 trade deadline when he is on his last contract year and if the Canucks retain a percentage of salary. Wait till then.
This is a hard pass. Klingberg to Myers to Edler. This is the kind of trend we’ve been on for 8 Benning years. Please stop it with these big Swedish slow and aging .
If i’m being completely honest, the only way I would be ok with something like this is dumping ekman-larsson, which would require us giving a lot of value the other way. Then trading for another cheaper left handed defensemen, but i’m not sure where the value for that would come from unless we do trade miller. Then hopefully trading myers as well, although I dont think that would be essential, then signing Klingberg to a 3 year contract at the most at like 6.5 or less, and that is a hell of a lot to ask for.
You clickbaited me Legorock. For shame for shame.
oh wow another clickbait video surprise surprise
This is a bad idea. Might help this next season but we already have a bad idea on the team. The long haul is to big of a gamble. Say no to this trade. We should be focusing on the front half to get a bigger badder offense.
Logo none of topics ever pan out you just ramble on about nonsense click bait
They should trade Tyler’s Myers’s and re- sign JT Miller to 6M I guess 4 or 5 year contract for the Vancouver Canucks
Just keep they contact to spend assets to het rid pf him and when he has one year left and someone needs a cheap defense do 50 % retarded and get a 3. And of 2 fourth round picks
Id rather have Tyson Barrie at 4.5M with only two years left than Klingburg at 7years and 7.5+ M. Im sure most teams would too and Barrie could be had pretty easy.
I hope the Canucks' brass would not try to sign Klingberg. He would demand a lot of money and he will soon be on the decline production-wise. And like you have said, he is not the type of D this current team needs – we need a RHD who can help stabilize the back end, not a powerplay specialist.
I am still slightly hopeful that the Canucks will find a way to dump some salaries before training camp… I mean, they have to, don't they, since they are currently over the cap? Let's see if Myers, Poolman can be shredded from the payroll and if Miller can be moved…
I think he could reignite OEL, they’d make a great Swedish pairing.
Kilngberg is the better D man but throwing way more money compared to said upgrade, ain’t worth it. I wouldn’t move Myers especially with such little term left (unless he is packaged or something). Even if you get a 3rd, 5th or even 7th offer at the deadline for him then take it and move on (again, assuming the Canucks aren’t in a reasonable playoff shot). Having said that, replacing RH D ain’t easy at all and what are they going to do to upgrade (note, not replace) Myers?
canucks doing this would be hilarious. klingberg only makes sense if oel is getting moved out
Honestly, our whole R side needs to be overhauled. Signing Klingberg to me is taking on a R side version of OEL. Overpriced, older Swede that still can provide value, however we will further handicap ourselves by doing this move. I'd love to see us trade for a Dante Fabbro, Noah Dobson or Damon Severson and build our R side around them. Younger, slightly cheaper and more upside.
Dude like your videos. Your assessment of Myers is weak. You need to watch some tape on him.
We can not afford klineberg
Make a video about virtanen being found not guilty
do we really need 3 powerplay quarterbacks? lol
No to trading Myers, can't afford to loose defense depth. Rather try to off load Dickinson, Pearson and Hoglander for a bit of cap space as well as roster room for our new forwards
Trade myers to clear up some cap space then go and trade for a top 4 d man maybe garland and Pearson package for a noah Dobson or see if calagary would give up a dman like weeger
No way klingberg would quarterback the power play in Vancouver, maybe pp2. But not with Quinn here
I'd take Klingberg at 4×7 million no more.
I think Miller would be traded first. Then Myers then you have room to sign Klingberg.
This makes absolutely no sense
In other canucks news Jake Virtanen found not guilty does it mean he's gonna be in the NHL again? And if I'm curious for which team 🤔
Nobody wants Myers unless you're adding a pick or prospect. A large orange pylon would be a upgrade on Myers. Throw hoglander in the mix to move him.
No way. They need a DMan under 25 Years old.
I’d rather 86 Myers, Poolman and Miller, bring in a younger top 4 D, and go from there.
7:15 Wow it almost sounds like we should of made an effort to sign Chris Tanev. Thanks Benning.
