Those abominable Adidas hack jobs notwithstanding, that was a real gritty win. So much fun to watch this team.
The NJ Devils have been impressive, even when they are not playing their best. These are the type of games they would lose last year. This is what marquee teams do.

I heard there is a rumor of sickness going through the team . Hopefully that's the reason they played bad the last 2 games. The devils we know this season would never play like that.
Just the way everyone is talking about Beniers. I think this race has been won already. People have their favourite and unless someone gets injured i don't see this changing.
I love beating the flyers especially after they fucked us about in the first. Also pissing torts off is fantastic television. Hughes really has taken that next step which is mega exciting to see, even with a few injuries we’re still competing. So happy, it has been coming, but glad the devils are really pushing for top of the league, didnt see this level of play consistently from this team.
They cant play great every game, that being said, team needs to play better. Hopefully Vs Chicago.

I don't want them to derail Vanecek and Schmid mentally by playing Blackwood. We've seen him for around 150 games and he's sometimes good but more often not that reliable and he's clearly injury prone. Good trade piece to thrown in with Severson and Bratt when Bratt's agent wants north of 8 million and Fitz can't do it because he'd be paying Hughes and Hischier less. Bernier should not be taking up practice time with the big team. It would be absolute stupidity to sign him again.
I dont think I remember a year with so many goals called off.. seemingly every other game there’s a disallowed goal.. the Philly one was obviously goalie interference but its soo often this year..

So far, Schmid has been playing really well. He's playing much better this year than he did last year, that's for sure.
Hughes is a Top Tier kid. I praised him when we got him in hopes for this moment. We have a great fucking team.
