My nerves are shot. Feels crazy good being on a story, but like I have so much anxiety now about missing what happens next. I don't really want Klingberg because we have enough offensive defenceman. The Oilers need a two way defenceman. Doesn't Klingberg have a 10 team no trade clause after January 1st?
Maybe a trade. Woody won’t scratch Nurse IMO. Nurse had a couple of giveaways which cost the game but hopefully he learned from that. Everybody makes mistakes. Perhaps he’s still injured? Oilers need a win tomorrow . They usually lose when they play at 11 or noon but the 2 PM starts are usually a little better than AM starts. Hope you and Patrick have a great weekend! Go Oilers!
Nurse coract is even worse than Lucic one. We finally get rid of that contract and are handcuffed by an over-priced low IQ D-man who doesn't play the powerplay & has half the points of a Makar who he makes more money than. What?!?
I think a lot of fans would like to see Nurse get a night off, but Woodcroft is not one to embarrass his top guys. That is his track record. I'm more intrigued by a possible trade (maybe they are sending Barrie + Nemo or Broberg out for a dman). I will say this, it would make complete sense to have Nemo up if Barrie is going out for a lefty, in order to have three RH dmen on the roster. But trading Barrie for Klingberg is mostly a lateral move, maybe a downgrade just from the standpoint of Barrie being a popular teammate.
Tyson Barrie has been our best statistical defenceman, it would be a bad idea to trade him!!! All this D crap should have been figured out over the summer, damn Holland for not moving on this earlier!!
Klingberg is a HUGE defensive liability. I’m not sure the oilers need somebody who constantly turns the puck over. I’ve also heard he’s only interested getting traded back to Dallas as he never wanted to leave Dallas in the first place.
I don't know if scratching Nurse is good idea. I'd just reduce his minutes a lot in this game. I don't where these rumours start but has any of them come true? Klingberg isn't the answer. Edmundson is much better for what the team needs but Montreal isn't shopping him. Oilers are in for a rough year with this defense.

Oilers are awful in the afternoon and anytime a weak team comes to town they find a way to lose! I'm holding out no hope for a win!!
