  1. Smith was average. Oilers made it to the 3rd round with zero defense and average goaltending. Smith cost the oilers as many games as he had shutouts. Total wash. Haven't had a franchise goalie since Cujo. Rolie was good for one playoff push, but he wasn't a franchise goalie.

  2. Like the vids, keep em coming. Was cathartic to see your anger and frustration during the Colorado series. Helps to know someone else out there sees the same things from game-to-game.

  3. Carey Price on the Oilers would be insane to see. I'd welcome it, but I don't think they should break the bank for a goalie. The best deal we can get would be fine for me.
I think Stuart Skinner can become a great goalie, so the right pairing would be awesome.

Right now the Oilers have the most Canadians on their team, I'd like to see that stay the same. Imagine being the team to bring the cup back to Canada and have it visit the most Canadian cities and towns.

  4. Dude, that isn't the game to get on Smith about. Yes the game winner by Comper wasn't great, but he was unbelievable other than that in game 3. Goals expected will show you,he almost singlehandedly kept you in game 3. I've never believed in Smith,& he is 40-I think he wore down. But it's so easy,& simplistic to hang every goal on the goalie.

Lots of fans do it,but you gotta look at the defense also. Yes Nurse was hurt, but he's not a #1 if healthy. He might not make Colorado's top 4-if Girard was healthy. Nobody else would-although I think Bouchard has a bright future,I like Kulak,& Ceci is fine-if he's not your #2. But Duncan Keith was playing big minutes for you. Keith is a great mentor,& future HOFer,but he wouldn't even make our top 6. Unless it's all about the intangibles-but he isn't as good of player today-as obviously Makar,or Toewes…but also Byram,Girard,EJ,& Manson. He might be better than our #7,& #8s-Jack Johnson,& Ryan Murray.

Probably do need to find a goalie, but not gonna matter a lot vs elite teams,if you don't improve on the back end. If you do-you guys have a bright future. But as Smith said the other day basically-"a lot of fans,& media just see the last line of defense,& blame the goalie-no matter what happened on the play". There's a lot of truth to it. I constantly see fans blaming the goalie for goals that just aren't their fault…or sometimes they are partially to blame, but every goal scored is not on the goalie…not even close.

  5. Lmfao you can't possibly be that dumb to just blame the goalie..how about the players in front of him actually play defense?? they have a job to do, clear the puck out of the defensive zone yet time after time they failed against the Avs..I don't care who you have in goal if you give up 40+ shots a game you are gonna lose🤡🤡

  6. Yeah Edmonton would get a lot of help from John Gibson in my opinion I think that’s the target they should go for
